Cullompton, a historic village, may be found in the tranquil, verdant Culm Valley, not far from the majestic Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The ancient market centre in this busy town features some stunning half-timbered, tudor-style houses, and the towering sandstone spire of St. Andrew's Church, built in the 15th century, can be seen for miles around. The town's proximity to Exeter (16 miles), the sandy beaches of Exmouth (also within a half-hour drive), and both Dartmoor and Exmoor National Park (both within a half-hour drive) make it a fantastic home base for sightseeing excursions. You can rent bikes, walk or ride horses, or use one of the many bridleways to get out and see the sights in this lovely town.
