Location Details
Southwold is a seaside town situated along the East Suffolk coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and resting between Lowestoft and Ipswich. Southwold is known as the home of Adnams Brewery which was established in the town in 1872 and it also has its own lighthouse, a museum and a picturesque pier which has a selection of colourful beach huts and which plays host to the regular Southwold Model Yacht regatta. The town boasts a number of excellent restaurants and eateries with a particular nod to its seaside location so there is always plenty of seafood and fish on the menu. Southwold has some fantastic independent shops, boutiques, galleries and pubs which are great for a browse and to stock up on essentials for your holiday. Just outside Southwold there are a number of great attractions for the whole family including Africa Alive Zoological Reserve, RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich Museum as well as scenic towns such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Leiston and Lowestoft to visit.

We have stayed at this property for the last five years in January, it’s location is brilliant, near the town and beach, parking is also good, however this time the cleaning of the house has let it down. Quite a lot of dust and dirty toilet seats, the cleaners must do the back of them, not just the front. It is such a shame because the house and facilities are lovely. Perhaps because we came in January, somethings have been overlooked. The sink in the second bedroom did not hold the water, luckily my father in law went into town to get the part and fixed it!! The kettle also leaked but it is in such a mess, a new one would not go amiss. Having said all this, we would return
