Highchair and travel cot available. Off-road parking for 2 cars on shared drive. South-facing garden with terrace, furniture and access to fields. One well behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1.6 miles, pub 2.1 miles. Note: If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking. Note: Close to a main road, some noise can be heard. Note: Guests receive a welcome gift on arrival. Note: There are no steps between the bathroom, living area and bedroom making it ideal for those with limited mobility
Reviews
The Seed Store on first impressions is a lovely place to stay but don't be fooled by it's looks. On our arrival we discovered that "some road noise" is a busy 70mph and above main road, this did quieten down at night. The next day we discovered quite a few flies so I went and bought some fly spray but even though we sprayed the property when we went out there were still flies buzzing around when we got back. On day 3 of our 7 day holiday we saw a mouse on the kitchen. This was the last straw and we cut our holiday short by 3 nights. I did complain to Sykes who advertise the property but it is owner managed and I was told that I should expect these things in the countryside. As nobody else had reported the mouse ,the previous 2 holidaymakers had given a great reviews and pest control had been in 2 weeks beforehand and not seen any evidence of mice the owners are not going to refund me for the 3 nights we didn't stay. Basically they are calling me a Liar.
