Location Details
Only two and a half kilometres separate the picturesque village of Brompton from the thriving market town of Northallerton. This historic district was once home to a linen mill but now features quaint cottages and a babbling brook along its main drag. You'll feel like you've stepped back in time as you explore the village's historic architecture, three village greens, and children's playground. Other amenities include a church, a general store, and two bars. As it is only 8 miles from Thirsk and close to Osmotherley, Brompton is a great base from which to explore both the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors. Northallerton, a nearby town, features numerous mom-and-pop stores, excellent dining options, and the world-famous Bettys Tea Room. The village's proximity to the Coast to Coast walk and the breathtaking scenery that surrounds it make it an ideal destination for hikers.
