A delightful mid-terrace cottage located on the banks of the River Eea in the quaint village of Cark in Cartmel, just two miles from the priory village of Cartmel and eight miles from Lake Windermere. At this Cark in Cartmel cottage are a king-size double bedroom and a twin room, which is accessed through the double. This cosy former weaver's cottage has a light and airy sitting room with a charming window seat to enjoy the lovely view across the river to the fields beyond, whilst the modern fitted kitchen has an adjoining sun room, which provides access to the patio. Running along the front of this pretty Cumbrian cottage is the River Eea which provides a peaceful and tranquil place to enjoy the local wildlife. The small village of Cark in Cartmel has a shop and pub, both just a short walk from the cottage and the beautiful Holker Hall and Gardens are also within walking distance. The village of Cartmel is nearby and is one of the prettiest villages in the area with its historic priory and a stream running through the centre opening into a square surrounded by excellent pubs and restaurants, as well as being the home of the world famous sticky toffee pudding. The Lakeland villages of Coniston, Hawkshead and Grasmere are all within 45 minutes' drive and the tip of Lake Windermere is just 8 miles away and is home to Fell Foot Park where you can hire rowing boats to explore this beautiful area.
