The accommodation was fine and Mike the owner responded very quickly when a problem arose. I think as a base for those wanting to get out and about it is a lovely rental. I had hoped to use it as a place to spend time painting and reading but it doesn't have the outdoor facilities for this, although there is a small courtyard for when the weather is good. So, if you want to stay at home this might not be the place for you. We found a number of places to visit - including of course, Lindesfarne and Bamburgh castle. We also discovered Cragside, a fascinating National Trust house, and the Farne Islands. All in all, an enjoyable visit.
