Hinton Charterhouse, a small village, is located close to the Cotswolds, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. The Stag Inn and The Rose & Crown are two pubs within strolling distance, and there's also a post office/convenience shop nearby. Go out the next village over, Wellow, for a wider selection of delectable dining options and a handy grocery shop. Bath and Frome are easily accessible by car or bus from the village, making them great day trip destinations for anyone interested in history. Those interested in wildlife can enjoy a stroll in the magnificent old woodland that is part of the SSSI at Hilton Hull and Cleaves Wood, or one of the many other nearby parks like Cranborne Chase AONB or Mendips Hills AONB. Stonehenge, Lackock Abbey, the Stoney Littleton Long Barrow, and Farleigh Hungerford Castle are some of the area's most important historical landmarks.
