Note: Although the apartment itself is pet-free, the residents do own a dog, an English setter called Hani, who may come and say hello. Note: This property does not have terrestrial TV. Location Details
The bustling market town of Bala is nestled within the picturesque Snowdonia National Park, near the head of Llyn Tegid, Bala's famed lake, which is the largest natural lake in Wales and home to the Gwyniad, an Ice Age relic. Bala is well-known for its wonderful watersports, including as fishing, sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, and whitewater rafting, and it also serves as the headquarters for the narrow gauge Bala Lake Railway.
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

We had a fabulous short stay in Tegid this October. It was just warm enough for me to swim in the lake, and the apartment balcony leads directly onto the lakeshore. Magical! This was actually our second stay in this apartment: we visited in July and enjoyed it so much that we came back again. The self-contained apartment is very well set up, with a separate bedroom, kitchenette/lounge area and wetroom with a large shower. Both the bedroom and the lounge open onto the covered balcony, with chairs outside so you can enjoy the glorious air and views. Owner Beatrice is really helpful and very welcoming. There's tea, coffee, milk and biccies to greet you on arrival. We tend to eat main meals in town (can recommend Cafe Cyffnod and Plas yn Dre) and the multi-oven and toaster are more than sufficient for breakfast and light meals. You can hear some sounds from the other apartments and above, but it's never been intrusive or a problem - and we've stayed in different apartments here for many years! There's plenty of parking away from the road, zero traffic noise and all the comforts of home. At night, with the window open, the only sounds are the water in the lake, the wind in the trees, and wildlife. It's fabulous.
