Location Details

The delightful, traditional village of Calver lies in the shadow of Froggatt Edge and Curbar Gap, in the heart of the Peak District National Park. A wonderfully traditional village with a Post Office and a country pub serving good food, Calver is close to the National Trust-owned Longshaw Estate, and less than five miles from Chatsworth House - home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. As well as a traditional pub and Post Office, the pretty village of Calver has a cafe, petrol station, small supermarket selling local produce, a craft shop and a gallery, and is a wonderful base for walks, climbing and mountain biking. The village of Baslow with shops, pubs and restaurants is only a mile and a half away, and a further range of amenities can be found in the market town of Bakewell, the capital of the Peak District and home to the famous Bakewell pudding. Haddon Hall is close by, as is the historic village of Eyam with its selection of pubs, cafes and a craft centre, meaning a day out in the parish of Curbar can be enjoyed by all. Castleton, the home of the Blue John and Speedwell caverns, is 8.5 miles away and offers boat tours through underground caves. Hathersage, 2.7 miles away, is where you can find the Hathersage open-air swimming pool, which must be booked in advance, and, in the church yard, the grave of the legendary 'Little John'.

Lovely apartments, would definitely stay here again. Everything we needed, spacious, quiet, modern and clean. We had good weather so didn't get to use the locker room / boot wash / dog wash etc but certainly will come in handy when needed. Great walk into Eyam just across the road, fantastic fish and chip shop and Indian takeaway just down the road. We had lunch at the Cupola next door, very tasty, this is a fab place to have a bite to eat and a few drinks. Both Chatsworth and Bakewell only 10mins max drive away too, perfect!

Absolutely fantastic customer service Rachel was so helpful went above & beyond ..the apartment was stylish and the attention to detail was fantastic brilliant location I would highly recommend ..stunning apartment
