The East of England's most imposing monument, an exquisite 14th-century church, is surrounded by a network of mediaeval lanes with a fair assortment of individual and chain stores outside the market. It is worthwhile to climb to the top of the church on a clear day to take in the breath-taking views of the wash and Lincoln Cathedral.

Renovated and decorated to a very high standard. On a busy road but double glazed and not noisy inside. Warm and comfortable, though the bed in the rear double bedroom has an extremely firm mattress. Great parking. Easy access with clear instructions. Burglar alarm. Within walking distance of two good pubs and perfectly situated for RSPB and Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust reserves for birdwatching. Minor negatives: some of the windows are draughty; kitchen (otherwise great) has up and over cupboards which are difficult to open and have a tendency to close unexpectedly:
