The bedrooms consist of a double with en-suite, a ground-floor double, a twin and a single, serviced by a bathroom and a ground-floor shower room. Outside there is a communal outdoor space with bench, and off-road parking for two cars. Two well-behaved dogs welcomed, but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price, along with a travel cot. You'll find a shop and a pub in 1.5 miles. For a rural escape to Cumbria, book High Stile. Note: There is a steep drop down to the neighbouring stream; please supervise children and pets at all times. Note: There is no private garden. Ideally placed for friends wanting to climb more Wainwrights with plenty of chose. This cottage is well set up for a maximum of seven guests, we had five staying. If booking please make sure you read up on how to access the narrow bridge to the row of cottages - there is only one way which is to drive past the turn if coming through Borrowdale, turn in the spot designed for this and turn in with Honister pass behind you. Be prepared for any parking aids on you car to be in full voice. On arrival the cleaners were just finishing and told us they only had three toilet rolls because the last guests had taken them all - really!! We also quickly found out we only had two tablets for the dishwasher, not the best start having to drive all the way to Keswick the next day to shop for both! It’s a real shame because we would happily book this again. Just take into account the usual lack of proper sized pots if cooking for seven - why? A big effort has been made with this cottage - a little more and it could be perfect!
