There is also a stairgate and standing fire guard. 5 Gwynant Street is a great touring base for keen walkers wanting to explore Snowdonia National Park. Stay well clear,we arrived 24/5/24 with details of lock to get into accommodation,however lock broken rang the emergency number on numerous occasions-no reply also rang Sykes cottages explaining that we were unable to get in with the code provided so had to book into hotel. Tried again Sunday morning,once again number not registering,eventually Sunday afternoon we managed to get in,around an hour later Julie cleaner/manager came to see us on instructions said once in we could use the keys for access however Julie informed us that keys didn't work and locks have been broken for a while Spoke to around 7 reps from Sykes during the course of our holiday,each occasion they would get back to me and no one ever did So our week away was nothing but a stressful 7 days eventually Sykes cottages got back and explained that our complaint was with the owner as part of their lettings agreement but were unable to provide owners details They did offer us £170:00 compensation but our hotel cost for the Saturday night was £140:00 which they wouldn't pay So I will not be booking with Sykes again
