Pixie Cottage, Weymouth

Parking was a nightmare and couldn’t park near the cottage, but we knew that when we booked. It was a lovely walk into Weymouth, but you would need to be pretty fit to do this as there were a number of steep steps to navigate. Unfortunately, although the cottage had a nice layout, it was dirty and needed some TLC. When we arrived it looked ok but within a short time it was obvious that the only cleaning that the cottage had was surface cleaning. The skirting boards were filthy and the furniture had sheets covering it which were not clean. We kept finding long dark hairs everywhere that didn’t belong to my family. The dishes all had to be washed before use. But the worst thing for me was when I stripped the beds before leaving the mattress protectors were dirty and stained with blood and urine. The lack of cleanliness spoilt our holiday. The cottage needs freshening up and a deep clean!! The outside area is nothing like the pictures, it’s needs cleaning and painting and the furniture is rusty. We haven’t been away for a longtime due to ill health and so we took time to find a nice place to relax and recover, or so we thought. I don’t normally write reviews and have never written a negative review, but this was such a bad experience I would not like another family to face this on arrival, and I hope the Owners will take heed and put things right.
