The village of Cerrigydrudion (also known as Cerrig-y-Drudion) is to be found on the high moorlands in the county of Conwy in North Wales. Cerrigydrudion is perfectly situated between the lakeside town of Bala and charming Betws-y-Coed, which is known as the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park. Boasting Lakes Brenig and Alwen within a few miles, this peaceful village offers superb walking, cycling and wildlife watching opportunities amidst the surrounding countryside. The popular tourist towns of Betws-y-Coed and Bala are both within easy driving distance offering a range of interesting shops, inns and restaurants, along with a host of outdoor activities, including rafting and climbing to name just two. A wonderful holiday location offering something for all the family.
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
We moved here after issues with another property through no fault our own. After being sent to unsuitable properties which one didn't even have a BEDROOM or BED. This was also after I explained I was disabled and the issues I struggle with. The company contacted the owners of a property and they wouldn't clean it for us to stay (Clydfan cottage on Anglesey) Sykes contacted the owner of Ty Capel, they went above and beyond for us, they cleaned the property gone 6pm! As soon as we walked in we absolutely fell in love with the cottage, it smelt clean and was spotless. The heating was on and so warm which was welcoming. With the log burner, leave the bedroom door open and the cottage is toasties warm. This cottage has everything you need here. You will never be cold with the log burner if its a chilly evening. Wall lights on its so cosy..... we arrived in the dark so in the morning when I opened the door I was met by a glorious view..... This is Ideal for walkers, dog walkers or visiting local attractions, or people like us that love a quite break from the hustle and bustle. Betwys y coed is a 10 min drive, we have eaten in the stables and the cafe with ornamental gorilla's outside and had a lovley walk along the river. Conway falls, great walk and a brilliant cafe that's worth a visit. Ffestiniog railway a beautiful steam train. There are so many places to visit from here. The owners not only put theirselves out for us which we are so grateful for but you can contact them if there are any issues. Which we can guarantee there will not be any. When we visit Wales again we hope the cottage will be available. I've posted some photos but this is just a start of the beautiful scenery. Thank you again, it's an absolute must to stay and the family are without doubt the perfect host. We are still here but felt we needed to give this review now. Thank you once again! Best wishes Alex and Michelle
