Just spent a lovely long weekend at Fisherman's Lodge. We have holidayed in and around the UK for many years and I have to say that this was one of the best rentals we have stayed in. The house is beautifully furnished and finished to a very high standard throughout. All three bedrooms are ensuite with two having twin head showers and the third a bath and shower. The owners have thought of everything you might need to make your stay enjoyable, Everything from the selection of items (including a nice bottle of Prosecco) waiting for you in the welcome basket to the extra plush carpets in the bedrooms and the luxurious cotton sheets are all just a little bit above and beyond the norm. We also took advantage of a discount voucher which is supplied in the welcome pack for the Half Moon Inn, just across the road where we enjoyed a lovely relaxed Sunday lunch. Great food and service. A great property in a lovely location close to our new favourite city York.
