Sitting on the north of the stunning limestone Mendip Hills, you will find the charming village of Paulton in Bristol. With a population of over 5,000, this bustling village is filled with friendly local pubs, a well-thought supermarket and a well-established restaurant. The village's luscious green countryside surroundings mean that there are many a scenic walk to embark on in the area including a hike through the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Beauty. If visiting during the summer, be sure to stop by the free local festival of Party in The Park where you can sample food from some of the finest eateries in the area or pick up a gift or two on one of the craft stalls. Head to the English heritage site of Stoney Littleton Long Barrow, a historical Neolithic tomb with beautiful landscapes. Hop in the car and head for the city of Bath to learn of the history of the Roman Baths or discover 6,000 years of history at Wookey Hole Caves.
