Location Details
Llandeilo in picturesque Carmarthenshire, sits proudly on a hill above the River Tywi, the longest river that flows entirely through Wales. This pretty market town has a lovely selection of unusual gift shops, eating places and pubs, whilst visits to the medieval Dinefwr and Carreg Cennen Castles add to the charm. A short drive away is the scenic Brecon Beacons National Park, and the upland landscapes of the Carmarthenshire Fans and Black Mountains are a walker's delight. The beautiful sandy beaches and cliff walks of the Gower Peninsula, plus the ever popular Pembrokeshire coastline are not too far away. This is the ideal location for family holidays at any time of year.
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Beautiful quirky cottage in the most fantastic setting. Big lake a few minutes away, access to the Abbey Ruins which are yards away and three marked hill walks 5 minutes from the cottage Red Kite Lodge is much bigger than the photos suggest. It is quirky and comfortable and has everything you need including very clever kettle and toaster. Things to do - book the Saturday meal in advance on the ancient Cwmdu Pub (also shop and post office) but check opening ingredients times in their FB page. Visit Abergavenny ( flea market on Wednesday, see FB for details of the other markets during the week, go to Llandovery, Llandilo and Carmarthen, and Botanic Gardens of Wales) Bring lots of 20p pieces for the public loos!
