This village and civil parish nestles in the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire with close proximity to Yorkshire Dales National Park and Nidderdale AONB. Home to Catterick Racecourse, one of the busiest in North Yorkshire; racing at Catterick Bridge began as early as the mid-17th Century, and offers a charming blend of old and new in its Grandstand framework, as well as a fun and relaxing day out for everyone, whatever the occasion. The area boasts a lovely village green with Brough Beck trickling through to meet the River Swale, an idyllic place to enjoy an afternoon stroll, with parks, safe paddling areas and small waterfalls while local businesses, the sports ground and public houses provide convenience to visitors from far and wide. Nearby, for further amenities, is the ancient market town of Richmond, with a vast history embedded within its grand castle walls and numerous shops, pubs and restaurants to enjoy. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
