Thwaite How consists of a kitchen with electric oven, halogen hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and a dishwasher, a dining room with seating for six guests and a sitting room with a Smart TV and open fire. The bedrooms consist of two doubles and a bunk, serviced by a bathroom and a cloakroom. Outside there is an enclosed rear garden with lawn, gravelled area and furniture, and off-road parking for one car is available, as well as additional parking the nearby car park a short walk away. Within 6.3 miles, you will find a shop, within 1 mile, pub and within 0.1 miles, the River Derwent and please note that two well-behaved pets are welcome but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, starter pack for open fire, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. A travel cot and highchair are also available. The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone. Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the Bassenthwaite Lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around Derwentwater. With plenty of attractions for the kids, lovely parks and the nearby Lake District Wildlife Park this is a great Lakeland destination whatever the time of year.

"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
