We stayed here as a party of 10 and it was fantastic! The house itself is huge with plenty of space having a games room and also a projector room which was great for film night. There is a log burner and we bought some wood from the local garage. The rooms are tastefully decorated, homely and comfortable. Each room has a different theme. Its very quiet, the beds comfortable with clean bedding and great pillows. Some rooms are on suite, there is also an annexe downstairs which was great for my mum who struggles to get upstairs. The house warmed up great and plenty of hot water with clean towels. The dining area seated us all which was great. We had a fab welcoming pack and Information pack which was really useful. The gardens and view perfect and there are rabbits, pheasants and we saw buzzards. One morning there was a hot air balloon leaving the next field and this was a pleasant surprise watching it take off There are just 2 different things for us a family. The lounges are great but not suitable for a large party to sit all together. And the kitchen would benefit from better kitchen utensils and bigger pans but we managed. Location wise very easy to find, close to Carnforth, Kendal and arnside. We had chippy tea from arnside and these were gorgeous and we parked at carnforth and took the train to Grange over Sand We didn't want to leave the house and come home, such a perfect home. So glad we chose this and would definately return/recommend The house is a credit to the owners.
