Resting in the suburbs of the remarkable city of Gloucester, Brockworth is a superb holiday base. The village enjoys a perfect situation between the city and the countryside of the Cotswolds AONB. The village is perhaps most famed for the annual Cheese-Rolling event that takes place on Cooper's Hill on the outskirts. Nearby Gloucester showcases a number of examples of stunning architecture, most of all its enchanting cathedral. Also find museums and monuments teaching of the area's history. Restaurants, shops and pubs are aplenty in this superb city. Head into the wondrous Cotswolds AONB for scenic walking and cycling opportunities, winding around a host of charming villages. The town of Cheltenham is also easy to reach, famed for its annual horse racing festival.
