Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations.
"Wow" is what we all said when we first saw how big the inside of the cottage was, how spacious, and how well equipped. The location - close to everything essential - in particular a pub, Chinese take-away, and Londis store, made this cottage an ideal base. The adverts says just one bathroom, but there was a toilet downstairs too, which with five of us was a blessing. We'd taken the dog too, and had wondered whether that would be a niusance, but it made us get out and explore the local area, and the early morning views when walking, either up the Restomel Road, or in the woods nearby were amazing. Lanhydrock isn't far away and that's a great walk too. Fran's Bakery sell amazing pasties, and the Duchy of Cornwall Nursery serves a great cream tea. Fowey is very picturesque too and is only a few minutes drive. During our long weekend, we walked miles, ate too much, drank too much, and had a great time. If we'd been in poor accommodation the whole weekend wouldn't have been anywhere near as good.
Our stay at this little gem of a cottage was wonderful and we would recommend it. It's great value for money, comfortable, clean and close to all the amenities you need.
A beautiful clean stylish cottage perfect for the needs of our large family.
A very welcoming and comfortable cottage in a very good position to explore Cornwall, we will definitely return to this property.
The cottage was really deceiving from the front as is spacious and roomy for 6 people. The location is good for getting around.
We have just returned from a one week stay at this lovely, cosy, dog friendly and very clean character holiday cottage. It was everything we hoped for and is located only 2 mins walk to the centre of this small pretty historic town. We would certainly stay at 5 Bodmin Hill again not least because there is much more to do than could be fitted into our stay.
The cottage was really well equipped and was well situated for the village amenities and to visit the main attractions of this part of Cornwall. Our dog also enjoyed the garden very much.
When we entered No. 5 we were impressed with the clean spacious cottage. The housekeeper had left useful notes re refuse collection etc. and the owners welcome book was most useful, recommending places to eat, places to visit etc. No. 5 was very conveniently situated for shops especially for getting daily provisions. All in all we really enjoyed our week staying in No.5 and found it a great base for exploring the area.
Very beautiful house, very good equipped with much love for details. We felt very much at home!
Fantastic cottage - very pleased!
We loved the cottage, and the garden was a bonus. All very clean and tidy for our arrival. The refurbishment and modernisation of the cottage is wonderful. The cottage is much bigger than it looks from the roadside. Lostwithiel is a lovely town, and very central for sightseeing.
Very good location and lovely cottage.
Cottage was very cosy and comfortable. A secure garden for our dogs to play in and a nice outside seating area. The area was very quiet, a good central location.
Very clean, comfortable cottage which had recently been tastefully renovated. Pretty garden with good garden furniture. It was lovely to have a good sized fridge/freezer.
The property was carefully refurbished and provided a good standard of accommodation. The contact from the owner beforehand was excellent and we felt that we were welcome guests. The cottage was roomy and especially the kitchen which was fitted out to a very good standard as well as being spotlessly clean.
