Barn Owl Cottage, Pateley Bridge

We’ve just returned from a fabulous week here. Perfectly located - we visited York, Whitby and a multitude of other places, there is SO much to see and do near here (Hackfall Woods, Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey, Coldstones Cut, Grassington, Nunnington Hall, Druids Temple...) we absolutely loved it. The cottage is beautifully decorated and so cosy, Jenny was super helpful and the perfect host - friendly and welcoming (and finding us matches to light the candles for our pumpkins!). There was plenty of room for our family of four, but it would have been perfect for two couples. Honestly can not fault Barn Owl Cottage, everything we needed, cannot recommend highly enough.

The owner was very friendly and the cottage was super, very clean. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of storage and wardrobe space. The kitchen area was excellent and well equipped for a holiday let.

The cottage is in a beautiful location, with a friendly host and good local amenities and places of interest.

The owners were on site and were very welcoming and helpful.The accomodation was very spacious and all on one level making it very easy for my 91 year old dad. Lovely to be in such a rural spot and Pateley Bridge is a very pleasant place with a good tourist information office and museum.

Barn Owl Cottage is a really lovely place, so large, clean and comfortable, very peaceful and relaxing. This was our second time there this year and look forward to going again next year. Perfect place and everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Barn Owl Cottage is beautiful, and is ideally situated to explore the beautiful Dales surrounding Pateley Bridge. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed Brimham Rocks, Fountain Abbey and Aysgarth Falls. We developed a taste for fruit cake and Wensleydale cheese from the Talbot House Hotel in Pateley, and the pies from Kendalls butchers are to die for! Just as well there are plenty of local walks!

We have two dogs and the property was roomy and unfussy. There was a corridor outside where dogs could be dried off and muddy boots taken off and the owner was friendly and helpful. The situation of the property was excellent. We really enjoyed our break.

A lovely spacious and very clean cottage, the beds were very comfortable. So nice and peaceful and relaxing, can`t wait to go again. The owners were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them.

Big open lounge/diner, plenty of room to move about. It was lovely and warm after coming in from the cold weather. Area was lovely, great for walking and sightseeing without going to far. Nidderdale Valley is beautiful.

We liked the area and the nearby walks. The stars were a sight for sore eyes, as there was no light pollution. We intend to rebook for spring next year when we can take advantage of the lovely area in the evening as well as the day.

Barn owl cottage was a wonderful place to stay ,lots of lovely walks straight from the door, it was very comfortable and homely. The owners were so friendly and helpful. The area is beautiful with lots of great places to visit , fountains abbey and Brimham rocks were two of our Favourites . Pateley bridge village is a lovely mile walk away along the river , which is perfect, with plenty of good eating places. We would highly recommend this for a holiday, and as always Sykes are great to do business with.

The owner, was so friendly and welcoming. The cottage is open plan with the 2 bedrooms and 1 of the bathrooms separated. We had my 3 month old daughter, mum and 2 large dogs with us and the property was perfect for our needs! Great walks close by & a large courtyard! We will definitely be going back!

Good cottage, great for all areas. I would recommend to our friends. We had a very good holiday, so much to see and do. The owners were a really nice couple.

We do long distance walking, so the position of the cottage was excellent, to be able to walk from the door is brilliant. The area is a dream, the scenery is beautiful. The owners of the property were very friendly and helpful. We were very comfortable.

The location of the cottage was second to none. The property was in beautiful countryside but only a short pleasant walk from the nearby town which offered some fabulous places to eat and drink. There was also loads of great walks in the immediate area so you didn't need a car.

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Barn Owl Cottage at Bewerley Hall Farm. It is a wonderful Cottage, with all the facilities we could have asked for. It is situated in a quiet area just outside Pateley Bridge and we felt great after our week away. Access is easy as it is all on one floor and made life easier for my Father - in - Law who has mobility problems.

I was impressed with the cottage overall and the cleanliness. The photos on the web page gave a good idea of what it looked like and I was not disappointed. The owners were helpful and really friendly. The cottage was very light and spacious.

The friendliness and helpful ways the owners, giving advise on the best restaurants to use and where we could walk the dog. We had a lovely relaxing week.

Beautiful location with access to towns and cities. Pubs and shops very good in Pateley Bridge especially Weatherburn butchers and his award winning pork pies. The owner was very welcoming and accommodating.

The space in the cottage. We didn't feel on top of each other. The friendly owners. We really enjoyed our time there.

I particularly liked the the walk along the river into the village, and the cottage itself was a delight.
