Reviews

The cottage was stunning, spotlessly clean. I can't fault anything about the holiday. It was a nice relaxing week.

Very peaceful, the owner was really friendly and helpful, it is great that there is somewhere nice you can take a dog.

Everything about the cottage was perfect and the position was superb. It was easy to get about the island from the cottage which also helped with the enjoyment level.

We found the property accessible with plenty of room to move around. The property is very comfortable, well equipped and the location was great with good views at the rear. The owners could not do enough for you and were always on hand to assist with what ever you needed.

The owner made us very welcome right from the start, the cottage was so lovely and the view was beautiful. We had such a relaxing time. The owners should be so proud of their cottages and we would recommend it to friends with no hesitation. Thank you once again.

It was so peaceful and comfortable in the cottage. The owner and her family were very helpful. We had no problems driving around and found some lovely pubs where we were allowed to take the dog in. Would definitely book The Stables again.

Fantastic place, easily the cleanest and well presented accommodation we have stayed at. There was nothing we could fault with anything.

Warm, cosy cottage with all facilities provided and a very pleasant owner. Particularly liked the position and the aspect view from the lounge with the double doors to the pretty garden overlooking the paddock, fields and beyond. Nice modern kitchen, superb wet room and very comfortable bed. The cottage is situated in a very pleasant quiet part of the island and you are not far from the coast. Highly recommend this cottage.

We had this cottage for 1 week and loved every minute. We had our dog with us and it was perfect for us all. Great country setting with lovely views over the fields and Downs to the sea. Cottage is well equiped, plenty of space and a super wetroom. Short drive to Tesco and a dogfriendly beach at Sandown. We also had lovely weather as well. Would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone.

We arrived in February - cold, wet and windy - in order to go house hunting and the accommodation was very warm and welcoming. Lovely central heating radiators. The kitchen was well equipped and a bigger television than you get in a caravan. The bath/shower room is outstanding and the shower was very powerful and refreshing. It is set in such a quiet and idyllic setting and it was just like home. Our dogs felt very comfortable and relaxed, plus they enjoyed their morning walks which are right on the doorstep. It is in easy reach by car of all beaches and amenities. The owners made sure we were comfortable and everything was working fine. They are a very nice couple and extremely helpful and I would not hesitate to recommend the Stables to anyone who is looking for a break on the Isle-of-Wight. Absolutely brilliant!!! There is nothing about the accommodation, or anything else for that matter, that we could fault.

The information on the website was good, but the reality was even better - for a rental at the end of the year, this was warm and cosy, well-equipped and very convenient

My wife and I have visited the Island about ten times, all seasons, and the Stables are by far the best accommodation we have ever found. There was plenty of room to move around and plenty of space to put the dog beds without falling over them. The bathroom/shower room was outstanding. As the weather was very wet and cold my wife and I were very thankful there was gas central heating in the accommodation so we were very warm. The view from the lounge and kitchen windows are wonderful. We enjoyed every bit of the accommodation and the owners were so lovely and inviting.

Rated by Mr Hall reviewed on 17th February 2013

The accommodation is excellent - clean, comfortable and up to date. Of special note is the wet room. Also the outside space is most attractive, having a lovely outlook and everything you need to enjoy nice weather. Our hosts were helpful and friendly. We had a few problems connecting our Ipad to the net. They went to great lengths to get it sorted. There are footpaths nearby for dog walking. There are shopping facilities within a few miles and plenty of places to visit. If we return, and we may, we will send more time enjoying the view and less sightseeing.

The Stables is a great cottage on the Isle of Wight. It is just outside Ryde, with lots of peace and quiet. You have to drive five to ten minutes to find a pub, or a Tesco's, but the atmosphere at The Stables is great. The owners are very friendly, as are the horses, donkeys, sheep and dogs. I will return soon.

This was probably the best cottage holiday we have had and the owners were very welcoming and helpful.
