Fantastic cottage, fantastic owners, and a wonderful location. It was peaceful but within short distance from various attractions. Would definitely recommend this holiday.

Simply the most comfortable and cleanest cottage we have stayed in, with the owners clearly concerned that guests have the most enjoyable stay possible.

The cottage is furnished and equipped to the highest standard and was immaculately clean. We had a wonderful week exploring the surrounding area. The cottage is situated in a very quiet rural village and we found everyone very friendly.

We have just returned from another Sykes Cottages, Belview Cottage in Fifefield Neville near Sturminster Newton, was a great find in a lovely village. The directions were excellent, and the cottage did not disappoint. Fantastic very well equipped kitchen with big upright freezer, leading to a tastefully decorated lounge with a lovely comfy suite. Nice big tv and top quality fixtures and fittings. The stairway leads you to a lovely bathroom with a shower as well The shower was very easy to use and lovely and hot, The main bedroom has a very comfy bed (mind your head on the eves) with lovely scenery outside the bedroom window .The second bedroom has 2 single beds .A lovely enclosed garden with patio furniture, Lovely pubs including The 3 Elms Pub on route to Sherbourne and The White Hart in Sturminster. Ludlow and Corfe Castle and Village are nearby.

Belview Cottage was beautiful; very clean and decorated to a high standard throughout. There was everything there that you could wish for and the setting was lovely. We had a very warm welcome from the owners even though we were much later than arranged.

Rated by Mrs Bilham reviewed on 6th June 2015

We were a bit out of the way but the quality of the cottage outweighed everything else. We actually spent 5 days out and enjoyed it all. It was very relaxing.

Rated by Mrs Griffiths reviewed on 27th September 2014

We had a superb stay at Belview: comfortable, clean, relaxed with excellent attention to detail. Owners are on site if you need anything, and the gated entry gives you privacy. The Dorma bedrooms have a low ceiling on one side though, which makes it difficult for anyone who is unsteady on their feet.

Pleasantly situated in a quiet rural hamlet, a warm, light and airy cottage, immaculately maintained and well equipped, with far reaching views of the surrounding Blackmore Vale countryside. The owners of which have given much thought to the comfort of their temporary tenants, providing a thoughtful welcome pack and good information, maps, guides to the surrounding countryside. Ideally situated to enable visitors to easily reach the historic towns, countryside and coastline of Dorset

The welcoming and the beautiful country. A cottage that really offered everything!

Rated by Mrs Luijckx reviewed on 9th September 2012

Scenery, good food, lots of walks.

Rated by Mrs Arnold reviewed on 26th August 2012

Extremely well appointed property with great attention to detail and a very high standard of cleanliness. Having a young child we found the blackout blinds in the bedrooms and the stair gate particularly useful. The private garden/patio area gave a safe area for our son to play and ourselves to relax after the days trips. Ideal location to explore Dorsets coastline and interior.

Rated by Peter H reviewed on 24th August 2012

The attention to detail in the cottage especially the items for young children ie the fitted stair gate and blackout blinds in the bedrooms was excellent. Cleanliness was of a very high standard. The location was very good for attractions whatever the weather and the owners were very approachable if needed. They have obviously worked very hard to create a property of a very high standard which added to the enjoyment of our holiday.

Rated by Mr Holleran reviewed on 18th August 2012

Everything was perfect and the owners were lovely too.

Rated by Mrs Hellen reviewed on 11th August 2012

It couldn't have been better! Perfect relaxing possibility at Belview Cottage (peaceful and charming)!!!

Rated by Mr Rapp reviewed on 10th August 2012

This property is set in the owners enclosed grounds, situated off the beaten track in a the small village of Fifehead Neville. Upon arrival there is always that feeling of apprehension "will it be a good standard". That feeling soon melted away - spotlessly clean and well equipped. It was great that we could bring our working cocker spaniel. Molly. We particularly like the fact that no animals are allowed upstairs, this ensures carpets etc are perfectly clean. The location is great but slightly isolated, this is not a problem however would of been nice to be within walking distance of a local shop (minor point). There are plenty of walks with stunning views. We loved the market town of Blandford Forum, also slightly further afield Winbourne with its market on Friday. Although the weather wasn't good the cottage made up for it. We booked through Sykes Cottages however the Owners Brian & Gillian Puddy inform us that they will not be using Sykes in future therefore booking are now made direct: http://belviewcottagedorset.co.uk We will return!

Rated by Mike C reviewed on 16th July 2012

Brian and Gillian Puddy who run Belview Cottage have thought of everything to give their guests a home from home in an idyllic country setting. The property is secure and secluded within the garden of the Puddy's family home. We stayed with our 19 month old daughter and 10 year old german shepherd cross and everything, from the blackout blinds in the bedrooms to the dog water bowl and outside tap in the cottage's private garden helped us to live our daily routine with ease! The kitchen is excellently well equipped, the cottage is finished to a superbly high standard and Fifehead Neville is surrounded by stunning walks and easy access by car to some of the most beautiful towns and villages in Dorset and the breathtaking Jurassic coast. We were made to feel very welcome and there was tea, coffee and biscuits and a pint of milk in the fridge on arrival which was hugely appreciated after a 4 hour drive! The Puddy's have done a great job in providing a luxury holiday cottage at a very reasonable price. I have no doubt that we, as I am sure have many other previous guests, will be making a return visit.

The cottage was in a good loction to travel around to see Dorset. The cottage was of a very high standard and the owners were very nice. It wasn't too far from the local shops, which was helpful for fresh bread. There is a lovely baker in the local town.

Rated by Mrs Frosdick reviewed on 29th June 2011

The lovely warm welcome from our hosts at Belview Cottage. We visited many beautiful villages and churches set in rural Dorset and the cottage was situated in the perfect position to enable us to do this.

Rated by Mr Land reviewed on 17th June 2011

Belview is positioned on an elevated site within the gated grounds of its owner’s property and is located on the outskirts of the very quiet and friendly feeling hamlet of Fifehead Neville. It has open views of the surrounding countryside from its dormer bedroom windows on either side of the property and enjoys the best of rural tranquillity (other than the odd farm animal or trotting horse) coupled with every modern convenience afforded by this clean and exceptionally equipped cottage. The thriving town of Sturminster Newton is a reasonably short drive away and all the main Dorset tourist attractions can be visited within a days trip. The owners are very friendly and personable without being intrusive and will always be on hand should you have any problems or concerns. Considering the quality and location of this modern cottage I would consider the virtually all inclusive leasing rates very reasonable. I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation for any time of year.

Peace and tranquility!

Rated by Mr Herbert reviewed on 25th August 2010

This cottage should be 5*. This cottage was absolutely immaculate, spotlessly clean with every imaginable item you would need. It was peaceful and rural but only about 30 miles from Corfe Castle, Durdle Door, coast etc. Lovely, lovely place - can't rate it highly enough. The 'Crown Inn' at Ibberton serves delicious food. Cant wait to return - next year hopefully!

Rated by Ms Green reviewed on 5th August 2010

Amazing cottage that was a 'home from home'. The owners provided lots of added extras for our 3 month old baby. Excellent! What else can I say?

Rated by Mrs Jones reviewed on 19th July 2010

Very peaceful but not far to go to reach the coast or places of interest. It was good to return at the end of the day to a nice environment.

Rated by Mr Gumm reviewed on 14th June 2010

Lovely accommodation with all that we could need. Bit out of the way - everywhere was a drive away - but quiet and relaxed. Only reason it got four not five stars overall was the lack of space for the children to play outside - a tiny bit of fenced off garden within the owner's land, not really big enough for my seven-yr-old! Sat nav proved invaluable for the tiny Dorset lanes in the area.

Rated by Family of four reviewed on 4th June 2010

You could not be more at home in this 'home from home'.
