Wonderful location in the Western Lake District, ideal as a Base for excurtions. A lovely cosy cottage on a working farm. The farmer/host a great guy, very friendly and yet hard working. The cottage was spotless with every amenity we needed. We had a great week.

Views from the cottage were magnificent. The host and his partner were charming and friendly. Gable View is a delightful little one bedroom cottage with ample room for 2/3 people and all necessary comforts.
Just a beautiful little cosy cottage, the perfect place to get away from it all.
The location of the cottage was an ideal base for exploring both by car and on foot. The view of the fields and mountains from the front window was breathtaking. Seascale and its long, clean sandy beach makes for an excellent dog walk. I loved the fact that the cottage is on a working farm and the owner is a lovely bloke who was very helpful.
Gable View is a lovely cosy warm cottage with beautiful views of the mountains
A wonderful place to stay and relax and a great base to enjoy the wonderful countryside and and the beaches and villages of West Cumbria. I grew up near here and my stay here at Gable view has been a perfect way to revisit the area! Many thanks to the owner for a great stay and making me feel so welcome!
Lovely, well equipped little cottage, in a delightful location. Good variety of things to do, both in terms of tourist attractions and getting away from everything. With the choice of coast, lakes or mountains all within a short distance. Easy walk to the main line train and steam railway.
We had a fabulous long weekend in a cosy little farm cottage with everything we needed. The setting is tranquil and far enough removed from routine and large conurbations to allow you to step out of the rat race and relax, time to recharge and rediscover ourselves. Close to Muncaster Castle and the Western Lake District coastline. The host Michael, is charming and thoughtful, eager to meet his guests needs. Look forward to returning next year.
Great location. The lakes and the coast only a short car journey away. The cottage was adequate for a short break.
An ideal cottage for two (and a dog), all the linen felt brand new, the views were fantastic and the owner very welcoming without being too pushy. We would definitely go again.
We spent a lovely few nights at Gable View. The cottage was so clean and cosy, the views spectacular. It was wonderful to experience too, the sights and sounds of a working farm. We were made so welcome we will return again this year.
