Reviews

After a few stressful months we were the first family back in after lock down and I can hand on heart 100% assure all future visitors that the cottage and the wider site were spotlessly clean and maintained to a high standard. The hot tub was deep cleaned, as you would expect, between each booking but it was also cleaned each morning, ensuring it was as clean on our last day as day one. We were here for a week and the weather was fair all week with a couple of glorious days. Watchet is a lovely harbour town, the kids loved both the ice-cream and the crabbing in equal amounts. We had our dog with us and with this and certain restrictions still in place, activities were limited for us. We did use Somerset Adventures to do an Escape the Woods (think Escape Room), it was huge amounts of fun, even though we needed an embarrassing amount of clues from Ben who ran the activity. The games in the cottage were also used lots with Battleships and Rummikub being our favourites. Clearly we were also in the hot tub regularly too! I would highly recommend the White Horse Inn nearby. It is a beautiful pub set alongside the river; friendly, good value and the food was nice too! Overall an excellent holiday with some most lovely memories made, thank you to Lynn, Lloyd and the team!

Best cottage on site. so quiet and private. Suprised there are not more reviews as this place is heaven. Hope to get to come back in the future. I had my 60th birthday here and enjoyed every minute. Thanks for a brilliant time and keep up the excellent work

A first rate cottage allowing for peace and tranquillity. Much appreciated the work of the owner, who welcomed us and kept the excellent spa-bath operating. There was lots of space indoors and outdoors and it was ideal for our Labrador.

We really enjoyed the peace and quiet. We loved the hot tub. It was quality family time for us away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life. The cottage was the perfect size for the 4 of us and set in a lovely remote area. Will definitely consider staying here again and have already recommended it to friends and family.

What an amazing place to stay in and get away from it all. It is a lovely private place and not over looked by anyone. It has a private balcony and hot tub. I have recommended it to my friends, it is a gorgeous little getaway.

We liked everything about our holiday. The booking of the cottage was straight forward. We arrived in Washford with no problems but could not find the cottage. We rang the owner who came out and guided us there. The cottage and its location was spot on; one of the best we've stayed in. The wildlife was a joy to watch especially the squirrels and a pheasant (we called him Dave) that waited outside for some bread. Minehead, Taunton and a host of other attractions were all within easy driving distance. We are already thinking of booking again for next year.

The cottage & surroundings where idyllic. It was well thought out to provide privacy and the hot tub was checked every day. We were made to feel very welcome, firstly by the greeting of the manager, and then later in the week by the owner. They were contactable at all times.

The hot tub was fabulous and the accommodation was first rate, we had a lovely weeks stay. The layout of the cottage and garden made for private use of the hot tub. Being able to take our pug on holiday with us made for a relaxing time as we did not have to worry about leaving him in kennels.

Rated by Mr Bendelow reviewed on 21st February 2015

Had a very relaxed atmosphere, the hot tub added to the relaxation (checked for cleanliness every day by owner) It was very clean on arrival with all amenities/utensils available. Squirrels feeding off the decking (we put some hazelnuts out for them) was great.

A very clean comfortable cottage. Plenty to do locally - mountain biking, swimming, kayaking etc. - and at the end of the day to come back to a hot tub was fantastic ...

We had the best relaxed holiday there, it is set in the orchard so you have sun and shade ,and so peaceful with lots of wild life around . The owner is so helpful if you need anything he is there straight away and that is so good nowadays .The hot tub was first class and cleaned each day and emptied at end of your stay and filled for the next person to take over so nice to know it is clean .Thank you for a lovely 2 weeks.

The cottage is beautifully located, perfect for a relaxing break. We enjoyed the hot tub and BBQ, the garden is well maintained and great for afternoon tea on the veranda. Would highly recommend!

Rated by Kellyams reviewed on 13th June 2014

The hot tub was the attraction and it did not disappoint. My sister and I loved it. The huge wall of windows was a special pleasure, as we could watch the wildlife with impunity. Special favourites were the pheasants, incredibly nosy birds, peering in at us. The tub was serviced every day without fail, which we have not found with other hot tub properties, so we were very pleased. Have wonderful photos. It really is an experience, and one we intend to repeat when there is a week available. Area abounds with interest and we look forward to our next visit.

A warm welcome and very clean property decorated to a high standard. The hot tub was fantastic! We would definitely recommend the cottage - thank you for a great family holiday!

Rated by Mr Stedman reviewed on 7th March 2014

Very private, quiet and cosy little house. Perfect to de-stress. The hot tub was the reason for booking and it was wonderful and well maintained. Sitting in the tub whilst the weather raged around us was an incredible experience. We particularly enjoyed the huge expanse of glass in the French windows which enabled us to watch the birds, including very noisy pheasants peering in the window.
