We stayed in Cariad Cottage for a week. It was everything we could have hoped for & deserves its high rating. Located just 2 minutes from the beautiful town centre, it is so warm & cosy with every need catered for. The parking space is a bonus. I highly recommend this property, it is one of our favourites & we have stayed in many Sykes Cottages.

The cottage is in an ideal location for Ludlow and all its facilities, it is also well located for touring the area. The off street parking was a real plus. Cariad Cottage was very comfortable, clean and very well equipped.

Cariad Cottage was a gem. In terms of location, amenities, comfort and quietness this spacious home away from home was ideal. Everything was thought of by the owner. We had a wonderful week in one of the nicest towns in England and Cariad Cottage really was the icing on the cake. Hope to return soon.

The cottage was extremely well equipped, everything we could possibly need. There was so much information provided by owner.

Such attention to detail in this property! Everything one could possibly need is provided. We particularly liked its proximity to the town centre with its wide range of shops and bus services. This makes it an ideal location if one does not want to rely on the car. This was my second visit and I don't think it will be my last.

We booked this cottage for a week in October and what a treasure it is! The cottage was immaculately clean, everything you could want was supplied and there was a welcome pack on arrival of a bottle each of red & white wine, a lemon drizzle cake and a pint of milk in the fridge. The cottage has its own parking space right outside the door, which given that parking is difficult in Ludlow was a godsend. The landlady met us at the cottage and showed us where everything was and also recommended some thing to see and do. There was everything you could need there from files with information on places to visit, takeaways, nearest doctors surgery, supermarkets, post box, they really have thought of everything from board games and jigsaws to DVD's & CD's. We slept in the double room and the bed was sooooo comfortable and the cotton bedding cool and fresh it was a struggle to get out of it in the morning! There was an abundance of towels in the bathroom and the water pressure in the show was a joy, we have stayed in places where you needed to run round the shower to get wet! The stairs are steep, the handrail low on the wall and the are quite narrow but we didn't find them a problem at all, it's just the age of the cottage, you can't expect wide a wide sweeping staircase. The position of the cottage couldn't have been better. A 2 minute walk and you are at a supermarket and in town, having passed a fish and shop (we can recommend)! and a few other take-aways. The town is fabulous and if you have never been there we can recommend. My husband and I both said we could live there, it is such a friendly, community minded town. the shops are great lots of independent shops rather than chains. The pub in the middle of the town, the Bull I think it was called, was really nice, very friendly and food was great. We also tried the Church Inn and the pies mmm mmm!! But the prize for the best shop goes to Martin Pryce Leather down Pepper Lane. We found this little gem on the Thursday afternoon and ordered a leather bag which Martin made for us and we collected on the Friday-wonderful service, the softest leather and at a very reasonable price, I will be back for more! Martins Partner owns Koo, a Japanese restaurant which we had already booked a table at, and the food there is wonderful, You really must visit Ludlow and stay at Cariad Cottage - you will have a wonderful holiday with lots of lovely memories.

This cottage is so well placed for all that Ludlow has to offer. It was one of the best equipped cottages I've stayed in, and the owner kindly leaves a pint of milk, a bottle of red and white wine and the most delicious lemon drizzle cake to start you off. There is loads of information about the area and the town to read. Off street parking in front of the cottage is a very definite plus in Ludlow. A glance in the guest book showed lots of repeat visits which says a lot.

This is a lovely holiday cottage and it has everything you could possibly need. It is really clean with lots of hidden extras. It is in a really good location for the town centre. We could not fault it and the owner is so helpful.

Home from home, a lovely place to stay for a week. We would love to come back for another visit.

Rated by Mrs Musgrove reviewed on 19th July 2015

We were more than happy with our cottage. It was essential we had off road parking for my elderly mother and were close to town, both of which Cariad Cottage provided. The cottage was cosy, welcoming, comfortable and the personal touches made it feel like a home away from home. Our stay was enjoyable and hassle free. Everything had been thought of and we were very touched by the personal touches. Would definitely recommend to friends and would love to stay again.

My daughter and I spent a very comfortable holiday in Cariad Cottage, which is an excellent 'home from home'. The cottage is nicely furnished and the owner has thought of everything that you could possibly need for your stay. There are meticulously presented folders containing information on the house, the town (and beyond), including walks and cycling routes. For inclement weather, there is a plentiful supply of DVDs to satisfy all tastes and a variety of games. Ludlow is a pretty little town, just a few minutes walk from the cottage. There are many independent shops and numerous places to eat/drink.

I loved this cottage and it was in a perfect position for the town centre, shops, cafes, market place, restaurants etc. The only downside is that is had such good reviews it's now always booked up!

This cottage was in a great location - very close to the centre of town. The owners had supplied files of information on the property and town's facilities, activities and services. On arrival we found a bottle of white and red wine and some yummy cake with fresh milk in the fridge. We can't think of anything that wasn't supplied that we needed. The owners were very friendly and met us once we had arrived. The service was exemplary.

Rated by Marina A reviewed on 13th July 2014

The cottage is within easy walking distance of Ludlow, it also has parking right outside for the car. The kitchen was modern and well-equiped and the owner had gone to a lot of trouble to provide lots of information about walks and places to visit in the area. There are TVs in the lounge and both of the bedrooms, also a music centre and plenty of DVDS and some CDs. We enjoyed our stay there very much.

Rated by Mrs Weddell reviewed on 4th June 2014

Very comfortable accommodation. Great to have own parking area directly outside of the property. Convenient location for walking into town. No traffic noise or excessive street lighting so a wonderful nights sleep. Lovely property for discovering Ludlow and the surrounding area.

The centrality of the property to the town was its best point. In November it felt nice and warm. I liked the clean, modern, well-equipped kitchen. The private parking space directly outside was very convenient. I found all the local info left by the owner helpful, especially the maps and suggestions for walks.
