Beaufort is a small village situated in a scenic area at the foot of the Macgillycuddy Reeks near the Gap of Dunloe. This is a great location for walking with stunning mountain views. The village has shops, pubs and restaurants, and is situated between Killorglin and Killarney, the latter being a mecca for holidaymakers every year with its wide open countryside, beaches close at hand, annual festivals and great night life, with traditional music played in many of the pubs and bars. A host of activities are available in the area including riding, walking, cycling, golf and fishing.
County Kerry is a mystical and unspoilt part of Ireland, with spectacular natural beauty and a fascinating history. Facing the Atlantic Ocean, it features many sandy beaches, rocky inlets and stunning peninsulas.
This is a great house that is beautifully furnished. The owner is very helpful.
Very spacious house in quiet surroundings. Nicely decorated property and the wifi worked very well.
Kissane's Cottage is a really superb property in a beautiful, quiet location. It certainly lived up to our expectations from the brochure description/photos and the owner and his sister were warm, welcoming and friendly. Hopefully we'll be back again before too long.
The property was very clean, new looking, with lots of extras,(spa bath, ice dispenser on the fridge, good WiFi signal) Really enjoyed our time.
Loved the quiet rural location and quality of the property, yet relative closeness to Killarney and Beaufort. Beautiful views across the valley. We are looking to come back that way again and would love to rent the same cottage.
The property was huge! Very comfortable and like a 'home from home'.
One of the best rented cttages I have had the pleasure of staying in. The owner called in twice, checking everything was to our satisfaction. All the guests were reluctant to leave at the end of the stay.
The owner was very accommodating, very friendly and overall a great person. The home was beautiful, we really enjoyed staying there. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to stay near Killarney. Everything we needed was at the home.
First visit to Ireland and found Killarney had lots to offer, being on the edge of a National Park. Surrounding area had facilities for all ages, from beaches to walking, horse riding, boat trips, fishing and many more. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with excellent accommodation.
We loved, loved our holiday to County Kerry, Ireland. The scenery is stunning! The cottage was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The owner was very nice and extremely helpful. We would highly recommend to friends and family. Can not wait to go back!
We were lucky to have sunshine everyday, even so the situation of the cottage is wonderful. Quiet, private and only the sound of birdsong every morning and evening.
Overall, more than we expected and would highly recommend to anyone wishing to stay close to Killarney.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kissane's Cottage. It is a beautiful, well-maintained home, with everything you need to enjoy your vacation. There is a nice yard in the front for children to play on. The road leading to the cottage is narrow and winding...you wouldn't want to walk on it. However you can explore the fields behind the home, as they are owned by the homeowner. A walk to the top provides a lovely view of the surrounding countryside. All in all, an economical option for a well-equipped home in the Killarney area. It's a bit of a drive to get to Killarney and the national park, but we thought it was worth it. The home owner is very helpful with anything you may need during your stay.
Excellent and stunning cottage. House was very accessible to my disabled mother-in-law. Would highly recommend this beautiful house to anyone. As you look out the windows the views are breathtaking. Gardens are ideal for children at the back of the house.
The house was well furnished and equipped ,clean, extremely spacious and comfortable. When we arrived our host greeted us,was friendly and helpful. The views from the windows of the nearby mountains are superb and it is excellently situated close to many walks in the Killarney National Park and surrounding area. There is a lot to see locally and it could also be used as a centre to reach many attractions within an hours drive. The jacuzzi bath and the ice cooler and the marvellous facilities all proved a hit with our family.
The house was incredibly spacious and very well equipped. The views of the mountains from the house itself were spectacular.
The title says it all. Good modern fittings, contemporary styling. Perfect for our group of 6 (including 2 young children). A great place to come back to in the evening. And we had good weather! (August, swimming in the sea...). While the cottage isn't close to amenities, it is well placed to explore the area - centrally placed for activities, beaches, walks. There's loads to do. My only gripe - it would be nice if the back yard was a garden instead. A lawn at least...
Loads of space in the cottage, lots of interesting activities in the area, stunning scenery.
