Very well furnished and equipped. Each of the three bedrooms ensuite, which really helped the morning routine for 5 adults. Good size rooms throughout. Lovely garden with a few chickens wandering around. Nice rural location but only a short distance to Longframlington with village shop. Good central base for the places we wanted to visit - these included Lindisfarne to the north and Beamish to the south.

The Red Barn was the best holiday property we had ever stayed in. It was warm and comfortably furnished, and a pleasure to return to each evening. There was everything we needed in the kitchen. The owners were very helpful and not at all intrusive. We had wonderful views over the pretty garden and farmland. The location is excellent as we were easily able to visit the coast as well as Hadrian's Wall and the National Park.

We had a wonderful week in the Red Barn it is a really lovely accommodation, would love to return and will try and book for next year if we can get the time off.

Rated by Mrs King reviewed on 8th December 2014

The Red Barn is a truly fantastic holiday rental for exploring Northumberland. It is modern, exceptionally clean and has absolutely everything you need when on holiday and more. The owners had thought of so many details when preparing it for rental down to a pint of milk, wine, flowers and cake on our arrival that it was like arriving at a friend or family members home. The accommodation is finished to an incredibly high standard with an en suite to every bedroom, full laundry facilities, wood burner and central heating. The furnishings are luxurious and it was difficult to actually go out and enjoy the area as The Red Barn itself was so lovely we just did not want to go. When we did arrive from a day on the sometimes chilly north east coast we could all relax in our own bath followed by either a family board game (there were several to choose from) or watch a movie (again several good family movies for us to select one from) all whilst in front of a super wood burner. It was an excellent, centrally placed base for visiting all of the popular tourist attractions such as Alnwick and Bamburgh castles, Craster, Newcastle and of course the Farne Islands and Lindisfarne. We loved it so much that we have already booked to return again next year.

Just come back from a week staying at The Red Barn in Longframlington. And yes it;s amazing. The fourth year we have been away as a family and this was by far the best cottage we have rented. On arrival we were welcomed with some delicious lemon cake, and a pint of milk for a welcome cuppa. All three rooms were of a very high standard with equally high standard en-suite bathrooms, very clean, very well equipped and yes rally like a home from home. It was the little touchs that made the Red Barn so nice, a fridge with an ice maker, may sound a small thing but at the end of the day when you want ice for your G&T; it was there at a press of the button. Shoe cleaning kit in each room etc etc. Never been to Northumberland but after this week will make sure will be back very soon.

Fabulous cottage in a great location. Impressive kitchen, lots of extras that added the finishing touches. Ideal base for touring Northumberland's heritage coast. Fantastic wildlife in the garden - a real haven for birds, rabbits and red squirrels.

A very friendly and welcoming place to stay. It was so impressive that my guests are looking to hire it out for themselves next year!

We could not fault anything at all. Five star luxury in beautiful surroundings, the owners were very kind and helpful. We will definitely return when we find it is available!

The area and cottage were fabulous. The cottage's decor and equipment were second to none, and the hospitality was brilliant, from the homemade cakes when we arrived, the fresh flowers on the table, and the bottle of wine. I will definitely be returning.
