From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.
John and Sue made us welcome from the minute we arrived, our labradors were at home immediately. The cottage was very clean and tidy with all the amenities needed. We were treated to John's knowledge of the area and his great sense of humour . The location is perfect for exploring the beautiful Scottish countryside and with John's assistance even smoked the fresh caught mackerel . We will definitely return and thanks again guys for a great holiday
John and sue were excellent hosts made us both feel welcome from day one. Full of information about local places and lochs. We will definitely be back!! The cottage was spacious and dog friendly, fully equipped with all you need to cook and clean, views were amazing.
This property is idyllically located off the main road, overseen by the owners who live on site. The broadband service runs better than my home supply, yet there is a nice old fashioned atmosphere about the place. The big selling point for our family is that this is a safe, pet friendly establishment.
The extremely well-equipped cottage in its large beautiful garden was just perfect for us and our two dogs. We could not have had two nicer hosts who made us feel very welcome. This is a great cottage in a great location. It was an ideal for a relaxing break.
We felt as if it was our wee haven for the week, no problems at all. Exceptionally clean property done up and kept to high standard; super shower.
We had a perfect week. The cottage is isolated and very quiet which is just what we wanted. We plan to go again.
Darach was one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. Beautiful setting, perfect accommodation and lovely, helpful owners.
It was very clean, warm and cosy in January, and the owners were delightful. Enjoyed my stay very much.
We particularly liked the location of Darach and the friendly owner. Darach is cozy, comfortable and well furnished cottage and there is great space available to let our 2 dogs have a run about outside.
The hosts were friendly and well informed about their area. It felt like home from home.
An excellent cottage in a beautiful location. It was very comfortable and furnished to a very high standard.
The owners were always around to help us plan our day or to answer any questions. They also made us and our little dog feel very much at home. The scenery around Ardfern was very beautiful, even if it did seem to rain quite a bit. All in all it was a peaceful and restful holiday, just what was wanted.
The setting could not get better, just a perfect place to relax and reflect on life. There were plenty of places to go for meals and more walls than you could manage in a lifetime.
Lovely cottage in lovely surroundings and the owners were very friendly and helpful. A true home from home would love to go back sometime.
A very friendly welcome for us and our two Labradors. Fantastic location with beautiful views. Cottage very clean with all home comforts. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
We had a lovely holiday - very relaxing, beautiful scenery and a very well equipped cottage in a beautiful setting. Would definitely recommend the cottage and the area to anyone wanting a relaxed holiday.
The landlords were friendly, but allowed us our privacy. The cottage was warm and cosy, and there was good walking nearby. We will definitely go back again.
Wonderful genuine welcome, very accomodating hosts both to us and our dog. Fabulous location, wonderful views and very peaceful. Lots to do in the surrounding area with lots of walks for dog and us to explore. Access tests your driving skills but destination more than makes up for it.
The property was very clean and tidy with all the comforts of home.
We found the accommodation to be exactly what suited our needs. The area around the cottage is some of the most stunning in the U.K. mixing the beautiful marinas with the wild highland hills and glens. There was a large variety of things to do and see within a 20 mile radius of the cottage, which meant we did not have to travel far each day.
We liked the view from cottage and the owners were friendly.
