We have had a fab stay here was clean and very homely . It’s lovely watching the birds outside and we all had a lovely peaceful time here. The children really love the cottage and outdoor space for running around.

Nethy Bridge is a nice wee village, well served by hotels! Grantown on Spey is good for shopping and walking roundabout and nearby, Boat of Garten has a lovely gallery combined with coffee shop. Famous as the viewing spot for Ospreys there are excellent walks around the loch. The steam railway from Aviemore to Nethy Bridge via Boat of Garten provided hours of fun and photos for my husband. Aviemore is somewhat over developed, but a M&S food store was under construction whilst we were staying so that will improve things. Good place for a comb through the charity shops. The environment is a stunning location with every kind of activity to suit children of all ages! I urge you to visit. We visit Scotland every year and will be torn between returning to the West Coast which we love, and this gorgeous area. I cannot, sadly, be so enthusiastic about either the cottage in which we stayed or the agency through whom it was booked. The agency were fine at dealing with difficulties whilst we were there, but totally ignored the review which I took the time to write on our return. We travel as a family of 4 - 3 adults and a teenage boy. I always book accommodation for 6 so that we have plenty of space, but this cottage is so small that we felt very cramped and on top of each other. Unusually for Scotland we had some very good weather so were able to make use of the outside furniture otherwise the constriction might have become unbearable. The fact that it is possible to fit 2 double beds and two singles is not, in my view sufficient cause to claim that a property is suitable for 6 people. The dining table is designed for 4 - adding 2 folding chairs does not make it bigger and the space in which it sits is cramped. The "sitting room' (a standard sized conservatory) just about contains two three seater sofas, but 6 people sitting on them would be very cosy - knee to knee and elbow to elbow! We had nice chats with the neighbour, but if you are seeking privacy or a property set away from neighbours this is not the place. The photos are skillfully taken, but there are two more rentals on the lane and a permanent family who are very overlooked by the conservatory. I believe that the description says that the garden is fenced - do not think this means that your children or animals are in any way contained as the lane runs between the house and garden and is the access for the other properties. The upstairs toilet is a macerator and the water supply to the property is idiosyncratic. There is no hanging space in the upstairs double and the upstairs twin has a small rail. My conclusion is that it is very small - expect the space that you would get in a caravan.

We stopped at this cottage-Converted Croft as it was advertised and sounded to be very similar to other cottages we have rented in the Cairngorm mountains area. The cottage itself is in a very good location for what we do as in photography. The bedrooms are an average size with two upstairs and one downstairs however the downstairs bedroom still has a short flight of about five stairs should anyone have any issues with them, there is also steps in the kitchen/Dinning room down into the conservatory witch is used as a living room. The cottage itself is showing signs of some updating needed in places. The on-suite in the bedroom is very small and the ceiling height very low in the shower and through the property. the upstairs toilet wouldn't flush at all. The heating has been updated to the ground floor but not the upstairs bedroom and found them cold and hard to get heated up with basic convector type heaters. The cottage we found overall ok but needed a proper cleaning and the many small repairs sorted out. Parking area needs to be properly gravelled or some sort of stone to help with the mud situation getting into the cottage and into your car and on your cloths. please note that it is not a disabled friendly cottage.

Blairgorm Croft was cosy and warm, likely down to the solar panels, great thinking! We really enjoyed our stay; thank you to the owners.

Just back after a spending a relaxing week at this lovely croft. It has 3 double bedrooms one with an on suite, the other two have wash basins. The croft was lovely and warm as we had snow and storm Henry during our stay, and wifi, dishwasher, washer dryer and a large screen tv, it has all mod cons. Very peaceful off the beaten track. Local woods to walk in, and plenty to do near by. The RSPB Osprey Centre is just 5 miles away where we saw red squirrels. Grantown on Spay is also just 5 miles away and Avimore 12 miles. I really enjoyed my time at the croft and would like to return on day.

My friend and I had an amazing holiday staying in this lovely, clean and tidy croft with excellent facilities. The conservatory living room has spectacular views and was perfect for relaxing in after a long day out and about; It has an exceptionally large wall mounted flat-screen TV. The kitchen and dining room is good for preparing meals and easy to move around each other. The beds were comfy and we slept well. There is parking space for at least two cars; the garden is large with views of the forest. This cottage is dog friendly although we didn’t take one ourselves. Blairgorm Croft is approx. 1.5 miles from the fairly quiet village of Nethy Bridge where there is a shop and hotel nearby and plenty of walks too even though we didn’t do any!. Aviemore is approx. 12 miles away with a vast array of shops, activities and restaurants. Aviemore is a 20 minute drive away which has a vast array of shops, activities and restaurants. Communication from the owners was also fantastic. A great find! Places we visited and thoroughly enjoyed as photographers were: * Loch Garten & Osprey Centre, just 5 miles along the road; we visited here sometimes twice a day, we got to so see red squirrels, crested tits, woodpeckers and numerous other birds. *Highland wildlife Parks *The Cairngorm Reindeer Herd *Cairngorm Funicular Railway

Very nice cottage, great use of space and is well-equipped. Great location and ideal for those with young children and pets. Close to Aviemore and hill walking.
