We had a great time in this lovely, clean, well equipped cottage in a very good location. The animals and birds, both domestic and wild, kept us well entertained throughout. This was our second stay at Creag-na-Sanais and hopefully it will not be our last.

A superb cottage in a great location, it is spacious, clean and very comfortable. The location is superbly quiet and also provides good access to many other areas and much local walking, even from the cottage. The cottage is also on a working farm which means you can enjoy views of the animals, especially lambs in spring. A place that is ultimately fantastically relaxing with comfortable and spacious accommodation and great scenery. As it stands alone you also have privacy which is a bonus. The views from the cottage are outstanding and interesting.

Cottage was excellent, the best we have stayed in. The views from the windows are great as is the location. The farm animals and the local wildlife were a constant source of amusement.

An extremely cosy feel cottage. Well situated for touring the Highlands, but still having the larger cities within easy reach. Really stunning views of the local Mountains out of every window. The owners gave me a pleasant welcome, and made me feel right at home. I would definitely recommend this cottage to anybody. Loved every minute of my stay.

My partner, three children and I had a lovely stay here over New Year. The views out of every window were amazing. The home itself was beautiful and very clean. We had a very warm welcome by the owners. There were also lots of videos and DVDs, so at night we would all relax by the open fire watching films.

Rated by Miss Blyth reviewed on 4th January 2016

An absolutely fantastic cottage with the most incredible views. A perfect location for a quiet getaway from everything, but there is still loads to do and see within a reasonable driving distance through the lovely countryside.

This was an amazing holiday cottage. Everything we needed was there and more. The landlady welcomed us then stayed out of the way. The place was perfect, warm and very clean. Would recommend to everyone and we will definitely be going back.

The cottage was everything you needed for a great holiday. The owners were very welcoming on our arrival. It was in a great area especially if you wanted quietness, but still able to get around to visit other areas.

Fantastic location and very comfortable accommodation which was extremely well equipped. The owner was very friendly and made sure we had what we needed, but left us in peace to enjoy our holiday. We could lie in bed in the morning and take in the amazing view while having a morning cuppa - excellent.

Rated by Mr Potter reviewed on 21st September 2015

The house was outstanding. The owners were very helpful and left you alone but were there if you needed them. The views were stunning, it was an ideal spot for relaxing and touring.

Rated by Mr Rhodes reviewed on 29th June 2015

On the first night you think you are in the middle of nowhere, but so many places are within 20 mins, and major cities in 60-90 mins. The house, this is no cottage, it is huge, is delightful, every need is catered for, the welcome is warm, the house big but cosy, and if the temperature drops the real fire is brilliant, and if it gets really cold, then the nearest distillery is only 10 mins away. Wildlife actually queues up to parade on front of the massive picture windows. It's just too good to keep secret. Phone signal is poor, and Internet non existent. Just what you want.

We were kept well entertained by both the farm and wild animals and birds. We had a friendly welcome with milk in the fridge and some delicious home made cakes. We hope to go again next year as there is still a lot we want to see and do.

Rated by Mrs Haughton reviewed on 6th September 2014

We had a great time. We are four pensioners who explored the Highlands for the first time. The cottage is a little remote but it was fine for us. There were hares sitting on the front lawn in the evening and in the field across the road there were two deer. While out walking we came across a herd of deer crossing the road in front of us and a red squirrel in the woods. There was no wi-fi but that was a good thing. The family owners were lovely. We would definitely go back again.

Rated by A FlipKey verified reviewer reviewed on 16th August 2014

The cottage was fabulous - and it even had a freezer ( which is not mentioned in the details of the cottage ). The views were fantastic, and as my other half said - even if the weather was awful - you would still have a good time looking out of the window. It has a lovely feel about it and you would certainly relax and recharge the batteries here in beautiful surroundings. We had a lovely time here and hope to go back again - hopefully sooner rather than later.

Rated by Miss Markendale reviewed on 6th July 2014

Rated by Miss Lenny reviewed on 30th June 2014

A warm and comfortable cottage with plenty of videos, DVD's and children's toys if the weather was bad. Tea and cakes awaited us on arrival, it was a real home from home. Easy access to walks and visitor attractions.

Rated by Mr Cancy reviewed on 3rd May 2014

Staying at the Creag-Na-Sanais was a great choice. Peaceful , fantastic scenery and really family friendly. The cottage is kitted out with everything you need. The family who own it made us feel really welcome, but also left us to enjoy our holiday. Our little boy loved seeing and hearing the cows and sheep on their farm everyday. You cant just pop out to a shop, there's a fair bit of driving involved in the highlands but that's the beauty of the Scottish Highlands and around the Cairngorms. The roads are great. There is a fantastic remoteness up in the highlands , we did travel around to lots of different places and did a lot of driving. But it suits us as a family to explore and have that freedom to do so. We love Scotland. Coming from a beautiful part of the country already - cornwall, its a totally different feel and well worth visiting.

Rated by A FlipKey verified reviewer reviewed on 17th January 2014

Loved the peacefulness and surroundings. A home from home, that was very warm and very comfortable. Everything you needed was in the cottage. We did a lot of travelling, the roads are great, not a lot of cars passing, and the people great too. Loved it, nothing not to like.

Spent a wet weekend walking the Monaliadth munroes. What a great feeling it was at the end of each day to return to the warmth and comfort of our cottage. It was like a home away from home. Clean, well-equipped, comfortable and, in the brief interludes between downpours, had some of the most stunning views. Our hosts were gracious and very friendly and we would definitely return, albeit at a time of year when we could enjoy the views more!

This is a beautifully situated, spacious and comfortable property. One of the best I have ever been in. It is well equipped with many thoughtful details, like the bird feeder on the fence and binoculars for watching the birds and wildlife. The panoramic views from this property are wonderful. The surrounding countryside is full of magic. We will certainly go back.
