Pembroke is a medieval walled town, situated within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, just 10 miles away from Tenby. Within the town you will find a castle, which was the birthplace of Henry Tudor, and a town centre filled with an abundance of shops, quaint tea rooms and restaurants. From here, you can look forward to exploring the coast, home to award-winning beaches and great walks along the coastal path.
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
Super cozy cabin, hidden in the backwaters of Pembrokeshire, but convenient for all local attractions and amenities. Lots of space with two large bedrooms (a double and a twin), also a beautiful en-suite and family shower bathroom. Clean, and well kept with all equipment to hand, kitchen also well equipped with a beautiful range, full size fridge freezer, everything needed supplied. Lovely wood burner, with logs and kindling. We stayed without the dogs, but dogs are catered for here with an enclosed garden. Kind, welcoming and gracious hosts, who even provided some home made tasty Welsh cakes, which was a lovely surprise on our return from exploring the local area - we would definitely like to stay again. Highly recommended!
Very clean but the maintenance was appalling. A dangerous hole in the decking, a cracked toilet cistern lid, broken mirror, broken woodburner glass, blinds that did not operate and more. Some of the issues were cosmetic, others clear health and safety issues. The majority required temporary closure to address as it would not be feasible to attend to them while guests were staying. The owners clearly knew about them as they do the cleaning but were in denial and reviews are good probably because its cheap accommodation, which it is but its far from superb as described by Sykes and in fact is the worst accommodation we have ever experianced while booking through them. Aside from this was an ensuite door with clear glass so there was a clear view of the toilet from the bedroom. These matters have been brought to the attention of Sykes who appear to have taken them seriously but from the owners response to feedback its is doubtful they will address them. Very disappointing.
Just returned from a weeks stay here and what a lovely, quiet, place enclosed all round so you have total privacy. Hosts Chris and Richard were so lovely, helpful and welcoming and the added addition of delicious Welsh cakes just made the start of our holiday wonderful. The property is cosy and fully kitted out to a very good standard and as a keen cook the kitchen was very well stocked with all you needed to cook as much or as little as you needed. The seating area at the back offered a sheltered, quiet area to enjoy a drink and listen to the birdsong. Only a couple of miles from Pembroke and Pembroke Dock where you can find Aldi, Asda and Tesco. 20 or so minutes and you are in Tenby, Wally the Walrus is a must! An hour from St David’s where the Cathedral is beautiful but worth travelling a bit further to St Justinian and the coastal path. You are also about 40 mins from Little and Broad Haven. Carew Castle is close by too and Pembroke Castle if this is your type of things. Sadly the weather wasn’t conducive to visit one of the glorious beaches but maybe next time. Our friends and I had a glorious stay and we will be back to Pembrokeshire and Timbertwig Lodge
