Housekeeper's Cottage, Meeson

We've just come to the end of a perfect week and don't want to leave. Every attention to detail has been considered. Mark and Adrian were welcoming and showed us around their beautiful hotel which adjoins the cottage. The gardens are beautiful. Perfect for a couple who want peace and quiet in idyllic surroundings.

Lovely quiet location. Lots of caracter and history in the accommodation and main house. Perfect for a couple getting away from it all. Adrian and Mark very helpful and interesting.

The name 'Housekeepers Cottage' does not prepare you for the utter splendour of the building; it certainly went above & beyond our expectations.

A truly lovely place to stay. The owners are delightful and welcoming but not intrusive. The big house is beautiful and the grounds are stunning. We are already planning a return visit!

Every thing was superb. Our hosts were so genuinely friendly and accommodating. Housekeeper's Cottage was a grand country house filled with beautiful furniture of that period and we had access to the grounds- all nine acres. We particularly liked the lovely log wood burner. Our thanks again to the owners for letting us share their beautiful home in such wonderful Shropshire scenery and countryside.

The owners made us very welcome. Showed us their extensive garden and then gave us a personal tour of the House. Do not miss out on an evening meal it is highly recommended. We plan to go again next spring.

The Cottage was sympathetically and elegantly decorated, very comfortable. The owners of the cottage were very welcoming, friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and this made our holiday extra special.

We immediately felt at home and were very comfortable throughout our stay, from beginning to end. The 'whole' home experience was welcoming and attention to detail was fascinating. This is a very quiet, secluded haven and is to be enjoyed to the full if you want that kind of experience, with the added personal attention (much welcomed) of the proprietors.

We had a wonderful week staying at The Housekeeper's Cottage. The cottage was really lovely, the furnishings and décor were great. It all felt like 'home'. We did not want to leave! I thoroughly recommend this cottage which is in such a beautiful place. We will be back!

The owners could not have been better hosts. We loved everything about our stay here. They gave us a tour of Meeson Hall and since I am an interior Designer I fell in love with it. Our cottage was very pleasant & they saw to all our needs. Great guys & a great property.

All the reviews are correct. This is a fantastic place to stay, Beautiful surroundings, interesting places to visit, caring and thoughtful owners. This is the second time we have visited and yes we would come back again. We did not really want to leave

The peace and quiet. Access to all the gardens to walk round and enjoy. The relaxed and friendly owners. A really good week with lots to see and do.

The welcome we received was excellent and the owners made us feel that nothing was too much trouble to help us enjoy our holiday. Also, the freedom to wander the grounds was a delight!

High standards of accommodation/beautiful grounds and a quiet, peaceful, relaxing location with lovely countryside.

Had a beautiful living room with log burner and a beautiful bedroom. We were allowed to roam through the large grounds and the owners were friendly. It had an outside sitting area, good pubs close by and was close to the Ironbridge site & NT houses. The cottage was surrounded by the grounds and felt peaceful & away from it all.

Loved the cottage and surroundings. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome - will be coming back.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the owners in adjoining property. An incredible courtyard to sit in - full of colourful summer plants, and acres of garden to roam. Wood-burner on a chilly summers evening with an unlimited supply of wood.

Housekeepers Cottage is a truly delightful holiday accommodation set in the beautiful grounds of Meeson Hall. The Cottage has been sympathetically restored, decorated and furnished by the present owners making it a most cosy and comfortable place to stay. The gardens of Meeson Hall are a pleasure to sit in the sun and while away an hour or two. Lots to do in this area of Shropshire, plenty of National Trust properties to visit plus the heritage centre of Ironbridge. All in all a fabulous place to escape the hustle and bustle of a busy life, sit back and enjoy the scenery.

An excellent cottage, very pretty and grand - quality at its best. Location excellent for touring and there was lots to do and see. No traffic noise, only the morning bird songs to wake you in the morning. Its like living in the past. The owners were very friendly and helpful, nothing is to much bother for them and the welcome pack is excellent.

Housekeeper's Cottage is a delightful place to stay. The rooms are comfortable, well decorated and very clean. We enjoyed walking in the gardens of Meeson Hall. The courtyard area outside the cottage will soon be a mass of colour from all the flowers, a perfect place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. We really enjoyed our stay there and would stay again.

The quietness, the scenery, the birdsong! The relaxed atmosphere - but the relative nearness of places of interest to visit. A lovely holiday.

No complaints at all: the accommodation very clean and comfortable. The property and gardens are delightful, and the hosts very helpful, and not obtrusive in any way.

We needed a break to get away from it all and relax, and this property fitted the bill perfectly. Both the grounds around the cottage, and the surrounding area were beautiful. We found lots to do and only wish we could have stayed for longer. It was a lovely break, and I would highly recommend this cottage for any couples just looking to get away and find a relaxing break.

The house was fab and the cottages were lovely. The surrounding countryside was lovely and plenty of historic places to visit. Lovely and quiet, just what we wanted from our break. we will most definitely go there again.

Wonderful cottage, very cosy although plenty of space. So out of the way that nothing disturbed a good nights sleep! We had a really good time, even enjoyed cleaning and re-setting the wood burning stove. We would thoroughly recommend.
