The owners are lovely and friendly and very helpful. My daughter loved feeding the goats and donkeys. Very secluded but couple of minutes drive to main road. Easy drive to Matlock, Bakewell and Ashbourne. Cottage has everything you need. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely surroundings and lovely people, not too far away from the main road to be able to get to such lovely places like Bakewell, Chatsworth House, Matlock and Dovedale etc.

The cottage was warm with a comfortable bed & had all that we needed - an added bonus was the abundant bird life with woodpeckers through the windows! The friendly owners, the donkeys and the quiet surroundings made for a restful break - excellent!

As the property was such an excellent standard throughout and so very comfortable it made the holiday all the more special. A great place to come back to after a busy day out exploring the area. Much more to do and see than we initially thought. Would recommend this property and the area.

Had welcoming and helpful hosts, and it was in beautiful peaceful countryside. Everything in the cottage is new, efficient and sparklingly clean. Wish we lived nearer and could visit regularly.

A fabulous cottage - clean and cosy.

Dover Barn is a lovely cottage. It's well maintained, spotlessly clean and deceptively spacious. It's centrally located for accessing all the popular destinations of the Peak District. It was ideal for us, as it was close to the easier cycling routes of the Monsal, Manifold and Tissington Trails. The latter being less than a mile away! Would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a good value, rural getaway.

Very comfortable barn conversion which perfectly suited my needs as a base for the week. Well equipped kitchen. Good quiet location 0.5 miles off the A515. Excellent WiFi.

The second time we have been to Dover Barn, and already planning next years visit. It's ideal for mum who can't manage steps due to arthritis. The owners are there if needed, but as everything is provided we didn't need anything. Very friendly too. As far as we are concerned there is nothing to improve; in fact mum isn't interested in trying anywhere else.

A stone cottage in a remote part of the Derbyshire Dales. The cottage is superbly furnished and extremely comfortable. The owners are very friendly and the whole atmosphere is one of peace and quiet. The cottage is ideally located for exploring the Dales and the many interesting places in the area. Thoroughly recommended to anyone wanting a quiet holiday away from the madding crowd.

We had a great time at the cottage. Beautiful country surroundings.

This was one of the best small cottages we have stayed in over the past 30 plus years. It gave us everything we needed. Perfectly placed for exploring the southern half of the Peak District as well as areas of Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire nearby. We would recommend it to anyone not wanting the attractions of town life on their doorstep.
