This has to be a benchmark for the quintessential relax and unwind holiday.. The granary has all the mod cons you need to make it a home from home for the stay, the local attractions are all interesting and fun. I cannot say more than on the first night of our stay we were already looking for a week to book next year.

The facilities were excellent, the location was great for exploring North Yorkshire and the coast and the owners very friendly. Will definitely book this cottage again.

The property was easy to find and well located close to Thirsk, the National Park and other attractions such as Fountains Abbey & Bolton Castle. The owners were extremely helpful and provided lots of tourist information in the cottage. We would be more than happy to stay in the cottage again and we have no hesitation in recommending this property.

A lovely property set in beautiful surroundings, run by friendly accommodating hosts.

The Granary was so incredibly comfortable. The couches were perfect for relaxing at the end of the day; the courtyard tables were perfect for an early morning coffee in the sun, or a late afternoon glass of wine with a book. Our kids loved the alpacas, piglets, sheep, chickens and cows. The 8:30am feeding was the highlight of the holiday for the kids! Very convenient location and already recommended to friends and colleagues.

The Granary was much more than we expected. It's a gem. The owners were very helpful. All items in the description were available. Couldn't be happier.

The Granary is excellently appointed and handy to all that the area has to offer. It was our second visit and although late October rather than the summer of our first visit, The Granary was warm and welcoming.

The Granary is a home from home, one of the best cottages I've stayed in and I will definitely be returning. Would definitely recommend this cottage to anybody.

This practical yet stylish cottage far exceeded our expectations. The welcome, friendliness and helpfulness of the owners enhanced the experience. The courtyard seating and access to the barbecue added to our enjoyment of the outdoors. The central location gave good access to the moors, the coast and the dales.

The Granary is one of the nicest, most comfortable locations I have stayed in. The Cottage was warm and spacious, the kitchen was very well equipped and the bathrooms were very clean and modern. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Rated by Ms O'meagher reviewed on 3rd July 2015

The Granary was in an excellent location for both the dales and the moors. We found it to be quiet and peaceful despite it being on a working farm. The owners were wonderful hosts. The alpacas, chickens, friendly dog and cat made for a very homely, comfortable stay.

Rated by Mrs Garrod reviewed on 14th June 2015

First class property in an ideal location. The Whitestonecliffe Arms is a brisk 10 minute walk & serves great food, no need to cook. The owners & their family are so friendly & welcoming. The Granary is spacious, light & airy with beautiful simple furnishing. The beds are really comfy. The eco heating system is warm & keeps the property cosy. Would have loved to have returned next month, but they are full.

This property is one of the best that we have ever been to. The owners are helpful, friendly and have made the property a real home from home, it has everything you could want, let alone need. The surrounding area is all you could ask for, great local towns and fabulous countryside. All in all, one of the best places we have been, we would strongly recommend this area and this property.

Wow, what a beautiful cottage in a fantastic area of the Yorkshire Dales! We chose this cottage as it had a downstairs bedroom and bathroom for my sister who is disabled. We loved this home away from home. So comfortable and had everything we needed. Victoria and Ed were great hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend a stay in any of the cottages at Water Hall Farm.

There are lots of attractions and places to visit and the location made a good base. We made it to York, Whitby, Pickering and Helmsley to name a few places. We had a fab time!!

Outstanding accommodation, the best we have had. Absolutely no complaints.

Rated by Mr Feavearyear reviewed on 4th October 2013

The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The property had everything we needed plus more. The little extras were a lovely touch - a full bottle of milk and lovely box of gourmet biscuits. It was peaceful and relaxing and the cottage was very well appointed and clean. It was great being on an Alpaca Farm and being able to go and pet them and the village was gorgeous.

Rated by Ms Schedue reviewed on 3rd September 2013

Exceptional accommodation. We could not fault the holiday at all. The apartment was of the highest standard, no complaints whatsoever. You really must visit.

Rated by Mrs Yates reviewed on 26th August 2013

The cottage was brand new; set within the backdrop of the working farmyard. As such the accommodation blended both modern facilities and comfortable 'home from home' surroundings within a truly relaxing farmyard setting. Should you need a friendly local guide or if things go wrong, the owners being on site help maintain the relaxing atmosphere, which was a marvellous benefit. I will certainly be coming back. The children thought it was awsome too, which was a tick in all boxes for us.

Rated by r0bb072 reviewed on 17th August 2013

The peace and tranquility of the setting. Accommodation was well stocked and very comfortably furnished. The owners were welcoming, the dog was friendly and the alpacas were lovely!
