A delightful single-storey barn conversion, set in the grounds of the owners' 17th century thatched cottage, deep in the North Dorset countryside and close to the village of Okeford Fitzpaine, 2 miles from Sturminster Newton. Furnished and equipped to a high standard, this Dorset holiday cottage offers couples a perfect romantic, rural retreat. The Okeford Fitzpaine holiday cottage accommodation provides bright and cheerful open plan living, kitchen and dining areas, leading into the attractive bedroom, which offers flexible accommodation of either two single beds or a super king-size bed. One well-behaved dog welcome (to be kept on a lead at all times due to livestock). Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 10 mins walk. Note: The owner has 3 dogs and there are donkeys and chickens on site. This property does not accept children under the age of 8.

We really liked the peace and tranquility of the cottage, the views, the fabulously comfy bed and the donkeys! The owner was really helpful and welcoming. It was great to have easy access to a public footpath straight from the end of the garden.

The cottage is immaculate and well equipped with everything you would need. The patio doors open up to a gorgeous view of the countryside and the swimming pond. When we arrived we were greeted by Mrs Allen who gave us a brief tour and was more than happy to answer any questions. An easy drive to local ammenities and Other tourist destinations such as Monkey world, Poole etc, I'd definitely stay again!

The brochures do not do this cottage justice, it is a lot more spacious than it looks and is immaculate inside and out. It has breathtaking views and the owner is very pleasent and helpfull. An extremely enjoyable stay. Paul & Gill M

Oak apple cottage a beautiful cottage in lovely surruonding.the grounds were breathtaking as was the surrounding area .The cottage was very clean,well equipped and tastfully furnished.mrs allan was very helpful and charming.The surrounding towns were quaint there were interesting shops and very good eating houses ,this was the first time we had holidayed in Dorset and we will going back to oak apple cottage next year.

The location was stunning, the owner was friendly, it was better than a home from home. We felt completely relaxed an comfortable. We travel a lot for our work and usually stay in hotels but this was much better, we could cook for ourselves and relax. We would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.
