Perfect location for sightseeing, beautifully warm and snuggly cottage - great that all the bedrooms had their own bathrooms.

Just stayed for three nights with friends. Excellent accommodation. Each of the three bedrooms has a shower en suite with plenty of hot water. Well equipped kitchen. Ample parking. Great views of the surrounding countryside. Infornmation books on the area as well as games and DVDs. Good Wi Fi. Sally the owner is friendly and is on hand should there be any issues. Lovely local pub in 10 minute walk that has good food.

Meadow View is a converted barn and it is fabulous. Away from the village of Edale, about 10 mins, it is quiet and with amazing views. The accommodation is of the most highest quality and fresh flowers in all rooms, with 3 superb bedrooms en-suite. The bedding was beautiful. Modern fully equipped kitchen and a welcome pint of milk. Sally, the owner is lovely and made us all very welcome. I thoroughly recommend this farm, and the sheep.

Rated by Mr Millinchip reviewed on 21st February 2016

We stayed here as a group of friends as our base for walking in and around Edale. Absolutely beautiful surroundings. The cottage is amazing and is actually much bigger than the photos demonstrate (rare!). Cannot say how perfect it was - 3 lovely bedrooms, all with ensuites and lovely and clean. Kitchen wonderfully equipped for cooking big meals. Overall we had a wonderful stay and will most likely be returning! The snow in November made it even prettier than normal. Again - 5 starts. The only thing "wrong" with the cottage is that it doesn't have an open fire - but that can't be helped. Owners were wonderful and friendly when checking in and happy to answer any questions we had.

Spent a brilliant week at Meadow Cottage with my family. The cottage had everything you need plus a few nice little extras. The fresh flowers in the living room. The cottage is very well decorated. Everything was very clean. The bedrooms were excellent and having all en-suite was a bonus. The surroundings are very peaceful. The garden was secure so our Grandson was safe to play. Would highly recommend this cottage.

The cottage was excellent and situated in a very peaceful location. Had an ideal garden for our 2 year Grandson. You could not ask for better accommodation, everything you need was supplied. Ten out ten, a fantastic holiday.

Rated by Mrs Hammond reviewed on 14th June 2015

We have just come back from staying at this wonderful cottage with the family. Though we were 6 adults and a lively 2 year old this cottage accommodated us with room to spare. All bedrooms were clean, cosy and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well equipped, even more than our own houses :-) The location was off the 'main road' so all we heard were birds, sheep and the occasional train. You have to drive to the nearest shops and pubs but this is really no hardship. I would highly recommend this cottage to families or groups/couples.

Rated by TracyH1045 reviewed on 12th June 2015

We had a fantastic week, although the weather was not great. The owner was really lovely, helpful and left us to it. The cottage was perfectly located with direct access to Kinder Scout. The property was excellent and just what we needed. We have four children and the cottage was set up perfectly for a family of six. We would definitely like to return!

Travelled with friends who needed separate rooms. Three ensuite delightful bedrooms, comfortable sitting room, well equipped kitchen, including a bread maker! A lovely walk into Edale and several other walks from the door. Lots of things to see and do in the area. Very quiet ( you get used to the occasional train in the distance). Very friendly helpful hostess, and a great feeling of a local community. No phone access

This cottage was perfect for our special family get-together. The location is picturesque with immediate access for walking the peaks. It also has the added benefit of being serviced by the main Manchester to Sheffield trains. The property was spotless throughout and the owners were friendly and helpful. The cottage's three en-suite bedrooms were ideal for our family party, as was the open-plan living accommodation, enabling us to spend quality time together even whilst preparing meals in the well-equipped kitchen. There are two pubs in Edale - a short walk across a field - serving good pub food. We would definitely consider returning.

Lovely house, well equipped, very comfortable, in a near perfect High Peaks location. Loved it! Kitchen and bedrooms (all en suite) were great, pleasant walk to village of Edale, great circular walks from the house. Minor niggle, had to go outside to pick up the wi-fi from the farmhouse. Took some finding when we arrived.

It was our 2nd visit to this set of holiday cottages. Scenic rural location set in the Edale Valley with fantastic walking opportunities up on Kinder Scout and over to Castleton direct from the cottage doorstep. We had great weather on this trip so didn't have to rely on the wet weather activities I had planned, of which there are many in the area. This cottage would be accessible to those travelling without a car as although it feels like an isolated location, it's only a 10 minute walk from Edale railway station which is on the Manchester to Sheffield line. The cottage was well fitted and maintained throughout and the owner was very welcoming throughout our stay.

Rated by Mrs Robinson reviewed on 7th August 2011

Excellent cottage with very friendly owners. The cottage is in a very rural setting and is an ideal base for touring the surrounding countryside yet at the same time is very close to major conurbations. We particularly liked that all three bedrooms had en-suite facilities. In addition to the added privacy it saved time in the morning meaning we could be out and about earlier than would have been normal.

Rated by Dave reviewed on 21st December 2009

Have stayed in many holidays lets in the past, and I have to say this was the best! The accomodation was first class, lovely fixtures and fittings with comfortable beds. The owners were extremely friendly and they were on hand to offer advice on where and what to do locally and further afield. Lovely fresh flowers on arrival and homemade scones! Great location, away from it all, but within a safe short walk (of the road)to the local village and pub. Higly recommended

Rated by Karen J Wright reviewed on 19th December 2009

This was our second visit to this property. The owners were friendly and helpful. The accommodation suited our party extremely well. The views from the cottage and garden are splendid and the atmosphere is one of peace and tranquility. It is a pleasant short walk into Edale village for the information centre, shop, pub and church. We were lucky enough to be entertained there by the Morris team from Chapel-en-le-Frith. It is a walker's paradise with the Pennine Way so close as well as Mam Tor and Castleton. Travelling by car it is easy to access other parts of the Peak District and particularly the cycle trails. One of the objects of our visit was to go to some performances at the G & S Festival in Buxton which we did on 3 evenings during our stay. Probably the worst thing about our stay was the deteriorating weather as the week progressed!

Rated by A FlipKey verified reviewer reviewed on 2nd December 2009

The property interior was new, clean and smart. It is a recent barn conversion and has been well done. The owner lives in the farmhouse just over the driveway and we were met and shown round and made welcome. The fact that the cottage is in the middle of a working farm was fine as it was all accommodation around and it is a sheep farm and you look out across the garden, field and fells. Kitchen was well equipped. We were six adults as three couples and the cottage was spacious for us all. We had a dry week with only one rainy day, which might be rare in Edale. The cottage is nice to relax in and it is just a short walk from Edale and the two pubs. We set off walking on the hills around Edale every day and went in different directions covering every hilltop in sight during the week. These walks are right on your doorstep and this is an excellent location for walks, yet also only a few miles in the car from pleasant villages and eating places or the wider Peak District. We would happily return to this cottage another year.

There were many things to like about this property. The view from the window was stunning. The large open plan living and kitchen area had a very nice feel to it, making it possible for everyone at all times to be social. This place has been decorated to the highest standard, and its cleanliness was second to none. I even had a chance to talk to the owner, and she was a very pleasant and welcoming person. I like to go away with friends on a regular basis, and will seriously consider visiting the same place again.
