Wonderful Ash Tree Lodge. Was fitted out with everything you would need. Fully fitted kitchen, with fridge freezer, dishwasher, washer dryer cooker, and all from plates glasses mugs etc, to kitchen utensils. The washer dryer are in the utility room, which is the first room you enter. Massive lounge with picture window 2 sliding doors open onto balcony with table and chairs. Dining room, follows onto hall with bathroom to your left. Then going along to Bedroom 1, double bed on the right, complete with en suite, shower wc and basin. A large walk in wardrobe. Bedroom 2 is a twin fitted with an even larger walk in wardrobe, no en suite but you have the bathroom with wc and basin. Last but no means least is the hot tub. A wonderful place to ease of the ache of visiting York and surrounding area. You have 2 keys, one for the sliding doors and the other for the side entrance, also a remote control for the barrier to get in and out of the park. You are about 50 yards from the road, but only traffic i heard was the occasional motorcycle blasting past. When your in the hot tub couldn’t hear anything. There is WiFi for those who need to be connected. When arriving you have a welcome pack of milk loaf of bread from bakery in Stamford Bridge, biscuits crisps a bottle of i think Prosecco. I had my breakfast at Derwents in Stamford Bridge, located next to the pedestrian crossing. All in all I cant wait to return as you will struggle to get to see all that the area has to offer.
What a superb place, this is our 4th booking through Sykes and we get better with our picks, this place offers a marvellous spacious area, we brought our 10 month old and he's enjoyed the space and the soft flooring, and we've had plenty to do in the surrounding area, myself and my partner having got the little one to bed have enjoyed the superb hot tub, and peace at night, very comfy bed lots of great facilities and little touches all around, highly recommend this place ... superb !!
A lovely lodge with really well thought out amenities. The owners were particularly helpful too. Would definitely visit again.
A beautiful lodge and caring lovely owners. Would definitely return.
We had a lovely long weekend at Ash Tree Lodge with our two year old. The location was great to explore North Yorkshire and the coast. The Lodge itself was fantastic, we had everything we needed. The position of The Lodge is perfect as although there are a few other properties at the back of the farm, it felt really private and safe for our little boy. The hot tub didn't disappoint, it is located at the back of the property so completely private. It was a pleasure to sit there at night. We would happily go back.
Ash Tree Lodge felt like a home away from home and I also liked how friendly the owners welcome was when we arrived at the cabins.
We booked Ash Tree Lodge in August 2014 to stay for the New Year 2015/16. Arriving days after the bad floods we were concerned that all would be ok, I rang the owner who was very pleasant & re-assured us all was ok. We arrived the 29th December for a 5 night stay with friends & we knew upon arrival we had made a perfect choice/location for our new year break. The log cabin was spacious & spotlessly clean with the lovely added touch of a beautifully decorated christmas tree making it so nice & festive. The icing on the cake was the very nice welcome basket of goodies & little extras like milk, coffee, tea etc. The log cabin was a great size for a group of 6 people, the living areas very spacious with lots of room & plenty of seating. The one small issue we had was the couple who were sleeping in the lounge said the sofa bed was too hard to sleep on & with it being leather was slippery. They ended up sleeping separate on the two normal sofas which were more comfortable This however was the only issue we had & will not put us off returning. Cooking facilities in the lodge were excellent we cooked a full roast dinner with all the trimmings on New Years Day & we had no issues at all. If your looking for takeaway I can highly recommend the chinese in Stamford Bridge, food was excellent all fresh & tasted delicious. We also went to a pub in the village called the Three Cups, again a lovely homely pub with excellent food. All in all our New Year stay at Ash Tree Lodge was excellent & we will certainly be returning in the future. One little thing that would help if travelling in 2 groups would be 2 sets of lodge keys & barrier keys as we found it very hard going out separate trying to arrange to get back at the same time this did prove a little inconvenient at times during our stay.
All in all a beautiful log cabin in a nice remote location. Fabulous.
This property was amazing, truly beautiful. The Lodge was gorgeous, very high spec with lovely finishing touches. The hot tub topped it off!
Amazing property, idyllic setting, lovely hosts, A fantastic holiday
The seclusion of the Lodge was a fantastic backdrop to privacy, we were not overlooked at all. A quiet and peaceful setting so close to the A166. The Lodge is well equipped and we enjoyed our stay immensely.
This Lodge is absolutely stunning. The Lodge was very private and the hot tub was fabulous. Would recommend this to anyone, our stay was thoroughly enjoyable and we didn't want to come home.
The staff were helpful, the lodge was gorgeous and the views were amazing, everything we needed was in the lodge, will definitely be back.
The location was great both for York and the coast. The hot tub was a definite bonus. The accommodation was fantastic, it was clean and had everything we needed.
The owners were really friendly and could not do enough. The welcome hamper was a really nice touch as were the games, DVDs and books. The Lodge was beautiful, we had a really nice time and would definitely come again.
A peaceful and relaxing getaway.
Lodge fantastic, it had everything you could need for a great stay. The welcome hamper was a really nice touch. The owner met us with a warm welcome and explained where everything was in the lodge. Hot tub amazing! Would return again and again.
The cabin was gorgeous, the owners lovely and very helpful. It was fully equipped with everything we needed!
A lovely place to stay, it was clean, spacious & well furnished. Very relaxing and comfortable. Really enjoyed our time there & the owners obviously care about their guests. The hot tub was the icing on the cake, would recommend highly.
The whole experience was pleasing, surroundings, could not fault anything.
The Lodge was superb the owner was very very helpful.
Excellent 5-star cottage with hot tub. Good value for money. The owners are very friendly and professional. The lodge has everything you will ever need during your holiday.
Lovely open greenery outside, pond and with the added bonus of horses for the kids. Loved the hot tub, perfect location and great easy going hosts. Thank you!
This accommodation was of the highest standard I have stayed in on a self catering basis. I can highly recommend this to anyone - families, couples and just those wishing to get away. The hot tub was spotless and we used it every night. All round a very enjoyable break.
The lodge was large, very clean and nicely furnished. We felt very at home. The hot tub was fantastic! A great location from which to explore Yorkshire
We spent a week at this lodge. It was large and beautifully furnished/decorated. There was a lovely welcome basket of supplies and thoughtful little extras like bath soak and tissues were supplied. The lodge has large rooms with plenty of space and big cupboards for storage in the bedrooms - we used ours as a 'drying room' for towels. There are plenty of comfy sofas in the living room, a large TV with DVD player and a small selection of DVDs and books for all the family. The kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of cupboard space and the basics like tea, coffee, sugar and salt supplied. The star was without doubt the outdoor hot tub which was clean and well maintained and extra towels were supplied. My only negative comment would be that the lodge is very close to the busy A166 and traffic noise in the morning and evening ruined the otherwise peaceful farm setting. My mobile signal was also very poor in and around the lodge (Vodafone). This is a great place from which to explore the surrounding but you will have to drive into Stamford Bridge(couple of miles away) if you need shopping, bank(cash machine in COOP), takeaway food or a pub. I would recommend this accommodation if you want a peaceful location with few people around you.
The cottage was amazing, could not fault it in the slightest and the owners were so helpful & welcoming. It was in an amazing location - beautiful accommodation.
The location and Lodge were awesome.
A first class log cabin with everything you need. The hot tub and BBQ where excellent as well. Would definitely use this cabin again and will recommend to family and friends.
The lodge was absolutely beautiful. Extremely clean, excellent decor and facilities. The location is brilliant a great base for travelling. The owners were very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
We loved it all and will be coming back again, the quality of everything was the best it could be, it would not have been possible to upgrade our short break if we tried. We are so looking forward to our next visit the only thing that will change will be the length of time we stay because longer would be better! The hot tub just made it all the better. This was easily the best place we have stayed yet.
Everything was wonderful; the cottage was perfect and everyone very friendly.
A perfect getaway for a holiday.
Hot tub was really relaxing! The Lodge was fantastic, very secluded and private with really nice finishing touches.
Excellent welcome - superb accommodation - hot tub a triumph! Very warm cabin and beautifully decorated. Welcome pack was very thoughtful.
The lodge was very well equipped and had everything you needed and more, even my 6 year old was entertained with games and books provided. I will certainly be recommending it to friends and family looking for a perfect hideaway in luxury.
Everything was perfect.
We stay in a lot of lodges, but this was by far the best equipped.

We really enjoyed our relaxing break in the beautiful log cabin. Our kids loved the space and freedom of being able to play out in the open space and the hot tub was the cherry on the cake! An amazing place which we will certainly be re-visiting!
