Our second time staying here welcomed by consummate hosts Mike and Steve. Cottage set in beautiful natural grounds with great views lay out is upside down with sleeping and showers and bath on lower level this has underfloor heating The property is comfortable and fitted out to a high level with everything you could need including a stable WiFy It’s location is perfect for access to The Norh Dales and the lakes. It’s a hikers and walkers paradise and even right on the door step there are really good walks including Hutton Roof Crags. Wake up to the sound of peace and bird song I would give this cottage a 10 out 10. We loved it here wanted to stay longer
Beautiful, cosy and well appointed accommodation with super views. Warm welcome and hospitality from owners. Wonderful area with lots to explore.
In a stunning location, peaceful yet within easy reach of town. It was an excellent base for walks. The owners were very helpful and pleasant. The cottage was extremely clean and comfortable. Perfect.
The cottage was everything and more than what we expected.
We really liked the quiet location. A real getaway yet within striking distance of many different kinds of places to walk/visit. Superb shower and extremely comfortable bed. Glorious views from the windows. Extremely helpful hosts.
Pickle cottage exceeded our expectations. Very friendly hosts, stunning scenery, incredibly comfortable bed, fantastic shower, well equipped kitchen and just a lovely relaxed atmosphere in general. Would love to go back!
The location (fantastic spot); the attractive and warm cottage. The bed and other facilities in the bedroom: very practical and comfortable.
Beautifully restored barn, done to a very high standard. A lovely location close to the Newbiggin/Holwick scars.
A beautiful place to stay and friendly hosts. Especially liked the spiral staircase!
A lovely setting ideally situated for touring.
Great place to stay, very friendly, lovely suroundings. quite,
Very friendly welcome and excellent facilities. Only drawback is the circular staircase which could be dangerous for some peple
Secluded, quiet location. The owners were very helpful and friendly, we had a lovely welcome.
A very comfortable cottage in a good location.
We received a friendly welcome from the owners. Pickle Cottage is in an excellent position near the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, lots to do. There are many local walks without having to get in the car and a variety of places to eat in the evenings, plus good shopping at Kirkby Lonsdale. We rented both Pickle Cottage and Pickle Barn for a family get-together.
Superb cottage in a lovely quiet location, perfectly presented by friendly people. What more could you want?
The cottage just had everything; the location and friendliness of the owners.
The accomodation was first class, and well maintained. The welcome we received was warm & friendly. The location was idyllic, and well suited for a quiet & comfortable experience.
Seating/lounge area was not very comfortable; would suggest a comfortable settee rather than two recliners - it did not feel "cosy" of an evening; also no fire/focal point of heating.
Nice quiet location. High level of decor. Friendly host.
Peace and quiet in picturesque surroundings with wonderful views. The cottage is ideal as far as we are concerned, and very well maintained for comfort and cleanliness.
Beautiful location; peaceful, good walking area. Friendly and helpful owner. High standard and very clean. Have recommended and will use again
Location great with plenty of walks in surrounding area. Cottage in a lovely secluded location with beautiful views all around.
A lovely cottage, immaculately maintained, in a beautiful setting. The owner was friendly and helpful. Nice walks from cottage. The whole area beautiful. Will definitely return
The hospitality, cleanliness and overall quality of the cottage.
We were met by Liz who is very welcoming and friendly. She showed us around the cottage which was lovely and homely. The living area and kitchen are warm and spacious. The bedroom is large and bed is huge. The location was just on the edge of the Lakes which is great if you just want a taster ready for further exploring another time. The only draw back the spiral stairs!
If you want to tour both the Lakes and the Dales, this is a perfect spot. The Cottage itself is pretty much faultless with a very friendly and helpful host. You may get a visit from the inquisitive hens!
Very friendly welcome from the owner, with a gift of a bottle of wine and free-range eggs. The cottage is quite private, cosy, comfortable and very well equipped. It's ideally placed to explore both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, with shops nearby in Kirkby Lonsdale and plenty of places to eat out. The bedroom is delightful though the spiral iron staircase to the upper floor is quite narrow and might prove difficult for some to negotiate, especially with a suitcase! This is the first holiday rental we feel we might actually return to in future.
Wonderful location and the sunsets were magnificent. Also there are beautiful views from the ground floor windows.
What a little gem this cottage turned out to be! The location of Pickle Farm was beautiful with stunning views, and the property has been converted and restored to a high standard. The garden areas are beautifully kept and the owner gave us a warm welcome complete with afternoon tea and fresh homemade scones, as well as a bottle of wine! The tourist information for things to do in the area is also excellent in the cottage. We would definitely love to return at some point in the future!
The cottage was superb. The location gorgeous. Lots to do around (if not raining!).
Very friendly owner. Good base between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales.
We really enjoyed our stay at this quiet cottage. It was just right for two adults. The bathroom and bedroom were particularly well decorated and comfortable.
An ideal location to explore both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales.
The location was stunning and the accommodation was all that was described and more.
Pickle Cottage situated in Hutton was excellent. This was the best Cottage we have had and with excellent views. We will be going back.
Extremely well presented property. Very friendly owner.
Lovely cottage in a quiet location. Very relaxing.
Everything was 100% perfect with the cottage. Very well-equipped and superbly presented. It was a pleasure staying at Pickle Farm. We will be returning to this brilliant place and will definitely recommend it to family and friends.
