Situated in the rolling hills of North Herefordshire, the tiny rural hamlet of Luntley is perfectly placed between Ludlow and Hay-on-Wye to see all that the heart of the Welsh Marches has to offer. Known as the "Jewel in the Crown" of the famous "Black & White Village Trail", the lovely little medieval village of Pembridge is near by and hosts beautiful half-timbered houses, three traditional country pubs as well as a fourteenth century market hall and church with a unique, detached bell tower. The countryside surrounding this gem of a village is also not to be missed, offering excellent walking, cycling, riding and fishing facilities in the local vicinity. The ancient, historic city of Hereford is nearby, as is medieval Ludlow with its four Michelin Starred restaurants.
Herefordshire offers visitors the chance to journey through lush green countryside, enjoying splendid black-and-white timbered villages, a magnificent cathedral city, a fairytale Georgian castle at Eastnor or books galore in famous Hay-on-Wye.
A lovely and quiet location with friendly owners...
Lovely little hideaway, well kept, warm and cosy.
The owners were very friendly! The cottages are set in a stunning part of Herefordshire and they are beautifully restored. The bedroom is very romantic and the small but well kept garden overlooks lovely fields with sheep. There is lots of wildlife and stunning countryside. Hereforshire has lots of orchards which were in full bloom. It is very close to Wales for day trips. Herefordshire is ideal if you enjoy walking, cycling, and nature.
Booked all three properties. OUTSTANDING VALUE. Brilliant space for children, lots of it!
Fresh air, clear skies at night with no light-pollution, the geography was good for us with plenty of varied stuff to get stuck into (green places, cities, climbing etc), the locality was quiet. The excellent comments in the Visitors' Book is enough testament to the quality of this cottage.
Superb accommodation in an idyllic surroundings.
Bijoux barn conversion in the heart of little known 'black and white' part of the country. The cottage was clean , well-equipped and perfect for a cosy hideaway. The owner couldn't have been more helpful with a lovely welcome of homemade cake! Loved the spiral staircase! Right in the heart of the country. Night skies were breathtaking.
Really peaceful place and lovely views over the fields. Friendly owners, very helpful. Even resident cat and dogs to make you feel at home. Plenty to see and do. Will be back to the area next year hopefully.
This was very well situated for visiting the famous "Black & White" villages. The owner was very welcoming. No phone signal - hooray!!!!
Rural seclusion, but near to a host of attractions.
Holly Bush was the perfect place to relax in a little complex of three holiday lets. The decor was very good as was the standard of cleanliness and the owners had thought of everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible; providing all the necessary utensils and amenities you would need...just like home! The setting is idyllic and very peaceful but well within lovely towns and villages to visit.
