A fantastic location only 10 minute's drive to Stratford. The cottage was clean, modern and well-kept. We loved the view over the main garden across the fields.

Rated by Mr Pitchford reviewed on 1st August 2016

Liked everything! It was spotlessly clean and nothing was missing from the kitchen - like being at home! It was light and airy too. The garden was lovely and peaceful to sit out for drinks etc. It was only 3 miles from Stratford and it was very easy for anywhere in the Cotswolds. We will be back next year, definitely.

The cottage was lovely; very clean, well kept and in a good location.

Rated by Mrs Henderson reviewed on 10th July 2016

The location for Stratford and the Cotswold villages was excellent. The cottage had lovely views; one way over the garden and rolling countryside and the other side was a delightful view of this year's lambs. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely farm setting in an excellent situation for visiting Stratford, the Cotswolds and a wide range of National Trust properties - and there is a nearby supermarket. Pleasant rural walks from the nearby village of Clifford Chambers. Friendly and welcoming hosts who were available if needed.

Excellent hosts who made us very welcome. Would thoroughly recommend the cottage. Very well located for Stratford-upon-Avon, Batsford Arboretum and Cotswold villages.

Rated by Mr Welch reviewed on 5th December 2013

Enjoyable stay and very easy to get a bus from Waitrose Store into Stratford Centre parking own car in the Special park and ride Car park at Waitrose £1 all day (Bus Free). Saves all hassle of parking and traffic in Stratford. Much to see and do in Stratford - book seats in Theatre at start of holiday and get reasonable price seats from £15 in best positions. Get tickets from a Centre Tour Bus - very much cheaper to see all Shakespeare houses etc and get your to door as its a hop on hop off service £22.50 inclusive. Do tour of backstage at RSC theatre. Warwick Castle very good too (all day day as a lot to do see and participate in. The only bad aspect of cottage was only one toilet in cottage - easily could be corrected by building a small toilet off lounge (or partition off part of the very large lounge) Great stay and lovely friendly owners well run place.

We enjoyed the holiday in Stratford upon Avon having not been there for a number of years. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and welcoming and they treated us like part of the family. Nothing was too much trouble for them. On arrival, they had left milk and eggs in the fridge for us and on the Sunday, they asked if we would like a Sunday paper. Everything about the cottage and grounds were first class. We would definitely visit again and would recommend the cottage to friends and family.

I found this cottage by accident after a no response from another owner. It turned out that this was most certainly a massive plus as The Roost is an absolute gem. Location was perfect with probably the most friendly and helpful owners I have met in over 30 years of renting self catering accomodation. The cottage itself was unbelievably comfortable and superbly equipped. I have already recommended The Roost to family and friends and would without hesitation advise anyone of it's merits.
