A fantastic location only 10 minute's drive to Stratford. The cottage was clean, modern and well-kept. We loved the view over the main garden across the fields.
Liked everything! It was spotlessly clean and nothing was missing from the kitchen - like being at home! It was light and airy too. The garden was lovely and peaceful to sit out for drinks etc. It was only 3 miles from Stratford and it was very easy for anywhere in the Cotswolds. We will be back next year, definitely.
The cottage was lovely; very clean, well kept and in a good location.
The location for Stratford and the Cotswold villages was excellent. The cottage had lovely views; one way over the garden and rolling countryside and the other side was a delightful view of this year's lambs. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful.
A lovely, comfortable cottage which was very warm and snug after a day out in the cold. In a good location for exploring.
A beautiful cottage with lovely views, the owners were friendly and it was like a home from home. My little boy loved seeing the sheep outside and the tractors going past.
My elderly mother and I stayed in May for a week. We had a lovely week in the very comfortable cottage. It was single storey so ideal for my mother. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the cottage was very well appointed.
It was a lovely comfortable property, very clean and well equipped. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
We have been coming up for 7 years and have stayed in a variety of places, we have to say that The Roost is by far the best place we have stayed and is reasonably priced as well.
A warm welcome from the owner, an extremely clean and well presented property with great laundry facilities.
It was ideally situated for us to travel by car to various places. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. We would highly recommend this property to friends and family and would love to go back again sometime.
You could not fault the accommodation; it had everything you required and the standards were excellent. The owners of the property were very friendly and really helpful. The property is ideally situated to visit Stratford, Warwick and the local area. I would highly recommend this property.
Well equipped and everything you could want within a holiday cottage. Highly recommended.
Lovely farm setting in an excellent situation for visiting Stratford, the Cotswolds and a wide range of National Trust properties - and there is a nearby supermarket. Pleasant rural walks from the nearby village of Clifford Chambers. Friendly and welcoming hosts who were available if needed.
Excellent hosts who made us very welcome. Would thoroughly recommend the cottage. Very well located for Stratford-upon-Avon, Batsford Arboretum and Cotswold villages.
Enjoyable stay and very easy to get a bus from Waitrose Store into Stratford Centre parking own car in the Special park and ride Car park at Waitrose £1 all day (Bus Free). Saves all hassle of parking and traffic in Stratford. Much to see and do in Stratford - book seats in Theatre at start of holiday and get reasonable price seats from £15 in best positions. Get tickets from a Centre Tour Bus - very much cheaper to see all Shakespeare houses etc and get your to door as its a hop on hop off service £22.50 inclusive. Do tour of backstage at RSC theatre. Warwick Castle very good too (all day day as a lot to do see and participate in. The only bad aspect of cottage was only one toilet in cottage - easily could be corrected by building a small toilet off lounge (or partition off part of the very large lounge) Great stay and lovely friendly owners well run place.
The property was beautiful. It was immaculately clean, well maintained and very well equipped. It was a real home from home. The location was excellent and the owners were very friendly and helpful. We hope to return in the future.
The cottage was absolutely spotless when we arrived! Excellent location only a couple of minutes drive to Stratford! Lovely garden with amazing views! Great to wake up an open the curtains to sheep in the field just a few meters away! There was not anything we did not like about our stay at The Roost! Could not recommend it more!
This was the most beautiful place I have stayed in for a number of years both inside and outside the property. Everything about our holiday was brilliant. Would definitely go there again without hesitation.
We enjoyed the holiday in Stratford upon Avon having not been there for a number of years. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and welcoming and they treated us like part of the family. Nothing was too much trouble for them. On arrival, they had left milk and eggs in the fridge for us and on the Sunday, they asked if we would like a Sunday paper. Everything about the cottage and grounds were first class. We would definitely visit again and would recommend the cottage to friends and family.
The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The setting was relaxing, the owners friendly and helpful. Everything you could need was available in the cottage. Splendid holiday we will definitely return.
Very well appointed property. Good location. Very peaceful. It was very comfortable, a real home-from-home.
I found this cottage by accident after a no response from another owner. It turned out that this was most certainly a massive plus as The Roost is an absolute gem. Location was perfect with probably the most friendly and helpful owners I have met in over 30 years of renting self catering accomodation. The cottage itself was unbelievably comfortable and superbly equipped. I have already recommended The Roost to family and friends and would without hesitation advise anyone of it's merits.
Quiet location. Very clean. Friendly host.
The location was excellent and owners extremely friendly and helpful.
Having stayed in lots of self-catering places before with the children, this was by far the best place I have stayed in a long time.
The position of the property just outside of Stratford-upon-Avon was ideal.
A lovely holiday and very friendly hosts.
We enjoyed everything about our stay. The meals at the New Inn were also good.
The property is just perfect for a holiday and there is so much to do in the area, come rain or shine. We might come back for 2 weeks next time!
Very friendly and helpful hosts, first class accommodation and good location for Stratford on Avon and Cotswolds. Excellent golf course 5 minutes away and New Inn, Clifford Chambers was a very good eating place.
Our stay at The Roost was wonderful - friendly, welcoming hosts with all the conveniences of home and close to all the attractions we wanted to see, whilst away from the town bustle.
The property was spotlessly clean, quiet, comfortable and the owners were friendly.
A wonderful location for all of the places we wished to visit and the accommodation was very nice. The owners' family were very friendly and the cottage is in a lovely peaceful setting. The local people were friendly and we had no problem finding our way about.
Although we had a two year old and a six week old baby in tow, we were made to feel very welcome by the owner who was always on hand should we need any help or advice on our holiday. They also provided useful things such as highchairs and travel cots for our little ones and were happy for us to re-arrange the furniture to suit our sleeping arrangements!
Very friendly hosts and the cottage is located within easy access to the tourist areas. Nearly everything you needed was supplied.
This is the second time we've been to The Roost and we will certainly be coming back. Wonderful location with plenty to do and see. Beautiful property, nice and quiet and very friendly, helpful owners.
Ideal location, nice and quiet. Very friendly and helpful owners. Our second time here and we will be returning!
Good location close to Stratford and convenient for the picturesque Cotswold villages. Friendliness of the owners and the little "extras" were appreciated. Really enjoyed a relaxing holiday and would recommend the lovely accommodation to friends.
Beautifully situated, surrounded by fields of sheep. Nice and quiet. Only 3 miles from Stratford-Upon-Avon which was great. Very friendly owners. Within easy reach of Cotswold villages and Oxford.
The accommodation was excellent, with very comfortable beds and it was lovely to see the new lambs in the lambing-barns. The owners were very sociable and are on hand should any help be needed.
This beautiful accommodation is close to the town of Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick. The barn is set in a lovely rural location within farming grounds. Lots of outdoor sightseeing areas to visit. A carefree ready made home to holiday in with lovely views and peaceful surroundings.
Excellent location for touring and sightseeing, spotlessly clean accomodation throughout, unusually splendid welcome of fruit etcetera, freedom to wander around the farm, personal welcome from farm personnel
The warm welcome, the welcome gifts and the general high quality of everything in the property.
Cosy comfortable base to explore lovely part of country. Lots of interesting or scenic places within easy reach. Very friendly, welcoming owners.
Friendliness of owners - excellent welcome package of fruit and goods, made to feel welcome and given access to the whole farm if so wanted. One of the best we have visited in 10 years
The property was very good ,in a very quite location,in easy reach of every where, went out every day.A must is a full day at Warwick castle.wonderful holiday, just the sheep and a bottle of wine at night what more do you want for relaxation, great
Well located for touring the Cotswolds.Well equipped could not think of anything missing.Furnishing were of a high standard. The only thing that let it down was the cockroaches in the bathroom we saw 3 during our stay.Perhaps the owners should look at this problem.
Excellent accommodation. Very clean and central to all local attractions. Particularly impressed by little things like pint of milk in fridge, tea bags, coffee etc. Would highly recommend to a family of four.
Well located for tourist attractions, (Warwick Castle is a must). Holiday made enjoyable by a friendly host and such a well equipped and comfy cottage.
Friendly and helpful owners. Very quiet area but easy access to Stratford etc.
The accommodation was lovely, the owners were very friendly and the welcome pack was much appreciated, not to mention all the other facilities available to use. There was lots to see and do and the countryside was beautiful.
Loved the location of the property, being on a farm was really nice and relaxing as it was very quiet. Wasn't too far from Stratford & in easy reach of main roads to Oxford, Warwick etc. Owner was very helpful and had provided numerous leaflets on local attractions and a guide book so we could decide where to go. The "welcome pack" was very welcome indeed.
The cottage is well laid out. It is very welcoming as is the host. The fresh fruit, milk and eggs on arrival were a welcome surprise. The owners are warm hearted and very welcoming.
The location of the property is beautiful. The view from the rooms was lovely and we were very lucky to see the newborn lambs. A very warming and welcoming property and very clean and tidy. Peace and tranquility area to holiday in. Lovely!
AN EXCELLENT HOLIDAY HOME WE HAVE NOW USED IT 2 YEARS ON THE TROT,LOVELY PEOPLE.
Quality and cleanliness of the property was excellent. On arrival there were flowers, a lovely bowl of fresh fruit and the fridge had been stocked with milk, eggs and fresh orange juice a really nice touch. The property is in a lovely location offering fantastic views across the surrounding countryside. Wonderful place for families as the children can play safely right outside on the large grassed area which has a table and chairs. Several nights enjoyed watching the sun go down with a lovely bottle of wine or two. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to family and friends.
Excellent location for visiting the Cotswolds, Stratford, Oxford and Cheltenham. The property was of a high standard throughout. Nice touches such as eggs, milk, juice, bowel of fruit which was left by the owners. We would return to The Roost.
Excellent location. Lovely welcoming family. Home from home. 1st class THANK YOU.
The children were very well catered for with entertainment provided for both indoors and outdoors.
Owners more than friendly - had a lovely time and cant fault the cottage at all.
This property is perfect for all ages and would recommend it to anyone. Very well situated for Stratford, Warwick and Banbury. Everything about the property was in 'apple pie' order and was spotlessly clean.
The cottage is on a sheep farm and in the middle of the country and was a change from the hustle and bustle of city living. It was nice to hear the country sounds during the night.
This was our second visit and it was just as good as we had remembered it. The owners are very friendly without being too intrusive. We came home feeling very relaxed.
I would like to thank you for recommending the Roost - it was absolutely fabulous and the welcome we had was very friendly. There was fresh flowers, bowl of fruit and fridge with fresh milk butter etc.,
The Roost would come up to all requirements and was an excellent cottage. In particular, the owners were very friendly, and had paid a lot of attention to detail within the cottage. I would recommend it as a valuable member of Sykes portfolio.
Extremely friendly owners. Everything is provided and of a very high quality. Will certainly return.
A very pleasant and peaceful location and only a short drive into Stratford. We very much felt welcomed!
Superb location. Great for young children. Already booking return trip!
Everything was new and clean. A beautiful outlook.
The whole property was in pristine condition. We particularly liked the welcoming touches. The towels provided were soft, chunky and everything was over and above the minimum required. Our thanks again to the owners.
Hospitality Excellent.
A lovely fresh property in a great position. The design has been carefully thought out and the cottage is very user friendly.
Despite staying at the property during what must have been the coldest Easter for years the cottage was warm and cosy. The cottage was well-equipped and comfortable and a good place for relaxing. We hope to return on a future occasion.
We received a warm welcome. The property, a recent barn conversion, was well and thoughtfully equipped and furnished.
Very nice, friendly and hospitable owners. Nice, cosy cottage. Stratford a good place to be near, lots to do. Would stay there again and recommend to others.
