Great place to chill out with the family - lovely walk to the local beach - there was only 1 other family other than us on the long stretch of beach at any one time - perfect! Sunsets were stunning! Good base for the south west lakes and surrounding areas - we could see across to Blackpool Tower one day. There was everything we needed at the house - shops a car ride away, but with a bit of planning that’s not an issue. 19 people, 3 generations, 1 dog
A delightful old farm house full of character and ideal for exploring cumbria. A welcome pack would have been nice to arrive to after a very long journey but instead had to go out again to get basic things such as tea! Every house we have been to include a welcome pack ie. .milk, tea, biscuits. . including a few basic cleaning things..very disappointed considering the price of the house. Bins outside were overflowing and settee in sitting room could do with replacing. Shame that the local pub was closed down and the walk to the beach was unsuitable for myself and my scooter. .would have been nice to been informed of these on booking. But overall a good week!
This is an absolutely, amazing place in a great location. The house was beautiful. We would definitely recommend staying here.
Overall this property was a delight to stay in, it was really comfortable with excellent facilities. To be honest I could have stayed forever. Just my type of home. All the Daley's had a wonderful stay and we will be booking again that's for sure.
The owner of Raceside was very friendly and helpful, the house was fantastic, rooms were lovely.
The house was beautiful and the surrounding countryside stunning - a real, undiscovered corner of Cumbria/The Lakes District. We will go back.
We had a wonderful time at Raceside Farm. There was a little blip in terms of getting the keys when we arrived, but this was soon resolved. The house is nicely decorated and the bedrooms are very comfortable. We stayed with our extended family (aged from 3 months to 66 years) for my husband's 40th birthday and everyone had a great time. Kirksanton itself is lovely - the beach is very close and there is a good local pub that serves excellent steaks. We will definitely return!
There was a very comfortable atmosphere in the house; nice views, a library full of good books, nice design and decoration and many places to sit and read quietly even when there are 8 people in the cottage. Outside the house, the area is lovely and the cherry on the cake, a friendly white horse as a neighbour!
Really good house for a large family. Well located to visit the South Lakes.
The accommodation was wonderful set in lovely surroundings.
Wonderful place to stay. Plenty of space and very well appointed place, great to be in, we loved it.
We loved the house. We spent several days just lounging around. It was perfect for us, and we are a large family, we never felt cramped.
The house was spacious and beautifully decorated. The location was excellent - quiet and unspoilt and not too touristy but within reasonable distance of tourist attractions.
