We love renting holiday homes, and the pictures usually give a reasonably good impression of what’s in store. Mountain View looked very nice online, but when we arrived we were simply amazed at the views, both inside and outside the house. The architecture and the decorating is modern and stylish, but it is also cleverly practical: not once during the week did we wish for something that wasn’t there. It (whatever it was!) was easy: look in the logical place and voilà: there it is. The kitchen equipment is particularly well-chosen and complete, as well as being logically arranged. Whoever kitted this house out really knows what they are doing, both from a practical and from an aesthetic perspective. I’m rather fussy and choosy, but Mountain View was a turn-key home for us. Of course, there was the usual and requisite “manual” of how-tos for working the heat, the locks, the appliances and such. But what we really liked were the reminders which were strategically placed in the house. Rather than a printed notice, the host has left friendly, handwritten cards which give the impression of a good friend leaving you a note. Delightful, like everything else about Mountain View! On a more practical level, the plumbing, the showers, and the high-spec appliances work well and without surprises. The beds are comfortable because the mattresses are good and because the sheets and duvet covers are pure cotton: OK, they wrinkle, but what a difference cotton makes to sleep quality! There was also a good, and well-appreciated, supply of towels and kitchen linens. And then there were the things that make a house a home, like a bookshelf with good and useful books as well as a selection games and puzzles. And if the weather is fine, just go to the shed at the bottom of the garden and pull out your sun lounger. But resist the strong temptation to stay home and enjoy the house and the views of the delightful garden with the Welsh mountain backdrop: there is so much to do in and around Conwy! Whatever your wish -- sports, walking, historic sites, pub visits — it’s all nearby and it’s all wonderful. For us, being at Mountain View was like discovering a home that we didn’t know we had. Of all the holiday lets we’ve had over the years, this has been the very best. I’d be hard pressed to make suggestions for improvement. We’ve already made up our mind: we’ll be back!

The house was comfortable, homely and quite honestly the best we've ever stayed in! We wanted for nothing. We would highly recommend it to all our friends and family. We would certainly book it again for our next holiday in Wales. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.

Everything about the accommodation was first class. The location was superb, the property was spacious and airy and the view was to die for.

Rated by Mr Beech reviewed on 9th July 2016

Spent 2 weeks here in May. The house was everything we could have asked for - more completely equipped than any other rental we have stayed in. The location is perfect - out in the country yet only a reasonable walk into town. It was great to have the use of a washer and dryer plus the dishwasher was a bonus. The owners seem to have thought of everything that a family might need. We will definitely return and would recommend it to everyone

The location was excellent, near enough to the town for shops etc, but far away enough to ensure that it was quiet. The cottage decor was stunning, a fantastic open plan kitchen diner with great views. Loved the veranda, and the log burner with the ample stock of logs was a real bonus. Just loved it all to be honest.

My wife and I are if I'm being honest, quite fussy when we are looking for holiday accommodation. We go on quite a few holidays each year, and on each occasion it just has to be as 'perfect' for us as it can be. And this place is really one of the best we've stayed in. The place itself is absolutely stunning, loads of space and an open plan kitchen/diner with fully opening patio doors which I would imagine would be a real treat on a warm summers evening, oh and so would the spacious outside seating area on the 1st floor that overlooks the fields and hills. The setting and views are stunning. The cottage itself has everything that you would want, and I mean everything. On occasions we make return visits and take the odd thing with us, sometimes we might take what we consider a nice frying pan, or a better potato peeler, or any other of those items that might just not suit you, but this place has all bases covered. From household items, through entertainment, it's got the lot. Loads of books and games for wet days in, cooking books for those that might want to knock up a lovely meal. The location is ideal for us, a 20 minute walk into the beautiful small town of Conwy with all it's attractions, the lovely little cafe's and shops, hikes right from your doorstep, supermarkets a short drive if you need them, beaches and the sea 5 minutes away. It's a perfect holiday location and we will definitely be back.

The house was very warm, comfortable and had everything we needed. We particularly loved the large kitchen/dining area and the location was ideal in being close to Conwy and surrounded by beautiful views. We would like to return in the Spring/Summer and have already recommended it to others as it is the best accommodation we have ever stayed in.

Mountain View is a very comfortable, well designed property. The setting is lovely with wonderful views. It is in a very quiet location but close enough to Conwy for us to be able to walk there. This was our second visit to this cottage and we have had another excellent week's holiday. We will probably return again next year!

"This property excels in all aspects. The design, layout and functionality were ideal for our group. There was plenty of space for communal gatherings but also plenty of options for people to be alone if required. The views were wonderful and it was a very peaceful location."

Rated by Ms Beswick reviewed on 11th April 2015

Mountain View is tucked away with fabulous views from the side and rear windows. It is a clean, modern cottage with lots of communal living space but also areas for quiet and seclusion. The pretty garden has a variety of seating areas and is visited by a wide variety of garden birds and squirrels. We were fortunate with the weather and had the opportunity to sit outside in the garden but also had a couple of evenings sitting on the balcony watching the sun set, accompanied by a glass of wine! The bathrooms are of a good standard and with good water pressure. The beds are very comfortable. Bedroom curtains were adequately thick, to keep out early sunlight! Plenty of cupboard/wardrobe space in each of the bedrooms. There is a variety of seating in the communal areas, especially welcome for my elderly relative who needs a slightly higher seat. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to self-cater (I would have liked to see enough matched glasses and crockery for everyone but I am being especially picky here). There are two fridges and a freezer along with a washing machine and tumble dryer and a decent iron and ironing board. We walked into Conwy on a couple of occasions, only a mile away, and got taxi's home!! Bit of a climb out of Conwy when you've sampled the local beers! Brilliant wifi! TV box had a tendency to freeze on a regular basis. The house has underfloor heating, central heating and a wood burner. The heating systems were efficient and easily controlled by radiator thermostats. In one word, this really did feel like 'home' and I would have no hesitation in returning to or recommending this property.

Rated by Mr Newell reviewed on 20th January 2015

For our first ever cottage holiday 'Mountain View' will take some beating. Contemporary living in a stunning location. The cottage was everything we had imagined and so much more besides. We were so comfortable, it was like home from home. The owners had thought of everything. If people are looking for peace and tranquillity in a perfect escape to the country, this is it.

Rated by Mrs Connor reviewed on 8th November 2014

We were fortunate with the weather but I think this would be perfect at any time. I was much amused reading the visitors book which was full of remarks "home from home" "thank you for sharing this lovely place with us" etc, excuse me, this is a business and we are paying for the privilege of "sharing your home" get a life! Unfortunately my home is nowhere nearly as nice and posh as this, but it does have a large pan necessary when cooking for five people. It is simply the best self catering property I have stayed in for ages, very cosy with the underfloor heating, and very stylish,I wonder how long it will be before someone spills some red wine on those lovely dining chairs or sofa, thankfully not me. The views from the garden are such you could just sit there all day, if you are more active there are plenty of walks right outside the door, would definitely hope to stay again.

As remarked in the "Visitor's Book" - we said only one word would do for Mountain View - superlative. The view from the house was really beautiful - but having said that we had wonderful weather.

Rated by Mrs Lee reviewed on 16th September 2014

The view from the back of the cottage, and in particular when using the balcony, was wall to wall purple and green. The whole place was comfortable and lived up to our expectations. I think my 6 year old granddaughter summed it up when she said it was the best house she had ever been in.

Rated by Mr Barwise reviewed on 11th August 2014

Lovely well equipped cottage with a luxurious modern feel. The garden was beautiful and the view breathtaking.

Rated by Mrs Donnelly reviewed on 2nd August 2014

Mountain View is a very comfortable, well designed and beautiful house. The kitchen and bathrooms are finished to a very high standard. The location is ideal for exploring the North Wales area. The house is fully equipped and lacks for nothing. The views and the garden are outstanding. We really enjoyed opening up the large external doors and moving freely between the dining area and the garden.

Rated by Mr Fryer reviewed on 26th July 2014

The holiday cottage was brilliant, everything you would ever want in holiday accommodation and more. We loved the position of the cottage, it was so peaceful in the garden. Lots of places to visit in the area, we will be visiting again.

Rated by Mrs Thompson reviewed on 3rd July 2014

The feeling of space this property offered was excellent, it had a very well stocked kitchen, and a layout which would suit most families. A beautiful location, and a wonderful place to stay, we would definitely come again.

Rated by Mr Godwin reviewed on 21st June 2014

We loved the spacious feeling of the whole house, lovely décor, fantastic bedrooms & en-suites, the garden and views were stunning and well maintained. The balcony was a bonus and my daughter who has disabilities really enjoyed this space. The peace and quiet was restful, it let you relax and with comfy beds. The house was well equipped, you wanted for nothing! With the bi-fold doors at the back of the house it made you feel like the outside was inside and you were not overlooked. Our ages ranged from 11 to 69 and we all left there feeling despondent because we were going home. We cannot recommend this house enough!

Rated by Ms Varghese reviewed on 12th June 2014

The house and garden is immaculate. It is situated in an ideal place to get to Conwy and get to other areas of North Wales, at the same time as being nice and private, with stunning views. The cleanliness of the house is 5 star, with all the mod-cons you could need with more besides. Nothing has been overlooked. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone who is thinking of holidaying in this area.
