Reviews

A lovely old fashioned cottage with plenty of room and space for 4 people and two dogs. The kitchen has everything one could possible need to self cater. In the loveliest village with the loveliest views. Perfect location to visit other quaint surrounding villages also, and the comfiest beds to flop into at the end of the day.

Brookleigh is full of character and the location could not be better. Such a peaceful setting with only the sound of bird song, sheep and the beck which runs close to the property. Just across the village green are cafes selling light lunches and great ice cream. We had some good food at the local pub in the evening.

This was our second visit to this cottage. Everything was as we expected to find it. The situation of the cottage in the village is perfect. The furnishings are very homely. The garden is very private and many different birds visited the bird feeders during the week, which gave us a lot of pleasure.

Fantastic cottage in a superb position overlooking the village stream. It was a good size even for four adults, one child and a dog.

I loved Brookleigh. The cottage, ambiance, peace and location exceeded all expectations. Was a superb base too for my professional landscape and travel photography. Highly recommended and the cottage interior was like a home from home. Missing it badly and was sad to leave. My compliments to the owner.

It was so nice to stay at Brookleigh. We loved it - a proper home-from-home and would definitely recommend. We had dinner at The Crown in the village which was excellent; one of the best pub meals we've had in a long time.

Loved the sheep and waking up to the sound of baaing and a stream. Beautiful purple heather covered hills, friendly people and the cottages open fire was great to come back to after a wet windy walk. Would love to come back.

The views over the village green are fabulous - wonderful to wake up to and to enjoy from the cosy window seats. The cottage is beautifully decorated in a country style, warm and inviting and has a very well equipped kitchen. Would definitely recommend it to friends, it is a wonderful cottage in a picturesque village, great for exploring the North York moors.
