A quiet and peaceful location and a very well equipped cottage. There were lovely views from every window. We will definitely return.

The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The location was perfect to meet our needs. Everything we felt we needed was there at the cottage for us to use.

Excellent, very spacious and warm cottage in lovely countryside, well placed for much of the southern part of the Peak District.

Think this has to be one of the best holiday cottages we have ever stayed in. It was immaculate and with many thoughtful touches. As we live in the Middle East, a traditional Christmas is something we yearn for and Marsh Cottage was the perfect venue - we really appreciated the kind touches of the owner. Can't fault it in anyway and hope to return.

We loved the location of the property, isolated yet near civilisation for shopping etc. We loved the views from the windows, the house had 'personality.' We found the heating to be super efficient too and were cosy all the time. The utility room was a bonus with the extra toilet downstairs. There are plenty of interesting places to visit in the immediate vicinity.

Marsh Cottage was in a great location, nice and private to enjoy surrounding countryside but near to local town and activities, and good location for Alton towers.

This is a gorgeous, cosy cottage in the middle of beautiful countryside. It has all the facilities you could possibly need and the owners are dedicated to ensuring the stay goes smoothly. The location is rural but with good access to lovely towns and Alton Towers. The teenagers missed the WiFi but they thoroughly enjoyed themselves anyway!

In a peaceful location. Had a lovely cottage feel, but with a good sized kitchen.

Rated by Mr McFarland reviewed on 20th January 2015

We were very impressed with the cottage, the kitchen was well equipped and the lounge was warm and comfortable. The cottage itself was isolated which was great for us but with no local shops, you would need a car. We stayed there with friends and there was plenty of parking for two cars and more and plenty of room for four adults in the cottage. I have stayed in many holiday cottages over the years but this one has to be one of the best ever. If there was a tiny fault it was picking up a phone signal but bearing in mind the location, this was to be expected. Couldn't fault it in any other way.

Probably one of the best holiday cottages we've stayed in. Excellent layout, furnishings, garden, well just about everything.

I travelled to Marsh Cottage in August with my husband and son. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this cottage. It was so peaceful and had everything we needed. The cottage was spotless and the fresh flowers was a lovely touch. We were left tea/coffee milk and biscuits. We picked this cottage as it was close to Alton Towers and we are so glad we did.

The cottage was perfect, we couldn't have asked for more.

Rated by Mrs Freedman reviewed on 31st August 2014

The most beautiful cottage in the most beautiful place.

Rated by Mr Parrott reviewed on 19th August 2014

The flowers on the kitchen table were a very welcoming touch as was the milk in the fridge and the packets of biscuits. We had a long journey and although we'd brought some groceries with us we didn't have any milk so it saved us having to go out again. Marsh Cottage was welcoming and very clean and tidy - a home from home which was lovely.

Love the cottage as it was quiet, and away from it all, but still close enough to everything we wanted to see.

Chose this cottage for its close proximity to alton Towers and so glad we did!only took about 15 mins to get there in the car. Marsh cottage is comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The location is peaceful and relaxing, great after a noisey day at a theme park or a day exploring the local area.
