A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.
Excellent cottage in a lovely location with extremely helpful owners.
A stunning cottage, beautifully restored and set in 21 acres. The horses were very friendly. It was very remote, so great to switch off and enjoy the peace and quiet, yet it was only a 10min drive to large shops.
A nice secluded property with a lovely cottage feel. We loved the well in the garden and the fire pit with a seating area. It was close enough to town for the shops whilst far away enough to have that great countryside feeling. There were plenty of quiet lanes to walk the dog.
Had a relaxing break in this peaceful location. It was a great base for visiting the iron bridge museums, which is the reason we were in the area. Would definitely stay there again if we want to visit this area again.
The location was ideal for the holiday we had planned. The cottage was in lovely surroundings and was very warm and comfortable with excellent facilities. Owners were welcoming and approachable. Would recommend and hope to return.
The location was so beautiful that we did not feel the need to go anywhere else. It was peaceful with no road traffic noise. The owners were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was beautiful and the outside was perfect. We had a great week.
The cottage is beautiful and well thought out. We were made to feel very welcome and had a great break in this beautiful part of the country. We would recommend this cottage to others.
The cottage was larger and more attractive than it looked in the photographs. The kitchen was very well equipped and the bedrooms were pleasant and contained lots of storage space. The fire was a lovely feature although we didn't use it. The views from the cottage and the walks were wonderful and the owners were very friendly yet respected our privacy.
"The cottage had an excellent design for the size of the property and was warm and cosy. The wood burner was the focal point of the living area and provided a cheerful ambiance. Owners were helpful and not at all intrusive."
Lovely cottage, brilliant location and very modern, comfortable & well designed inside. Also very warm and cosy, so perfect for winter breaks.
Set off the road with no audible traffic noise it was the perfect place for a quiet, relaxing getaway. It was decorated beautifully and not a single bit of dust or dirt to be seen! Would strongly recommend to anyone and will be coming back next year.
A beautiful Cottage in peaceful surroundings. A comfortable and well equipped Cottage, perfect for a relaxing break.
Excellent location for travelling around the area. The cottage was very comfortable and extremely peaceful.
The cottage was very beautiful and the surroundings were nice. Loved the horses who came to see us when we sat in the garden and walked with us in the fields. Shropshire is amazing, so much to see and do.
The cottage was in a good location for visiting all the visitor sites & pretty towns, villages & countryside in Shropshire & surroundings counties. The cottage is ideal for a restful holiday & provided all we needed. The peace & quiet creates a calmness ensuring a wonderful break. The owners were on site to check out any queries & were very friendly. Even the weather was what we ordered!
Brilliant cottage and very tastefully converted throughout. Very peaceful rural location but close enough to see Ironbridge and Bridgnorth. Lovely owners to deal with at the property. Great place if you have dogs.
The most comfortable bed I have ever slept on, great base for going out to visit other areas (Worcester, Stoke on Trent, Shrewsbury), lovely location, dog loved it, friendly owners were really helpful and welcoming.
Very nice and comfortable cottage in an idyllic spot.
The area and cottage were lovely and quiet, and in a great central location for all the places we planned to visit. We loved the log burner, big sofas and lots of space the cottage offered. The owners were very helpful and had done an excellent job of converting the cottage, and kitting it out with everything we needed.
The cottage was lovely. It was spacious and well equipped. We received a lovely welcome from the owners.
