Reviews

Firstly had to repair door handle so we could get in. Musty smell in house. Soafas worn out had to pack with scatter cushions so we could sit on them. Cooker wouldn't get hot and boiler kept flashing error. Back yard a disgrace weeds and dirty paving. Furniture rusty and not usable. Bedroom furniture from the 50is and Carpet full off stains. Glad we took house shoes. Can't find anything good to say about the cottage. We knew where it was. We stayed at Glebe Hall next to church(it was unavailable to book).

A well equipped, clean and comfortable property situated in a quiet area, in a beautiful part of the country.

A lovely quiet cottage nestled away from the main road, very handy for the beach and local facilities. We stay here at least 4-5 times a year and love it.

We very much enjoyed our second stay at this property, so much so that we will be booking again soon.

Yeomens Cottage is set in a lovely, friendly village. The property is a 5min walk to the beach and you have to pass the pub, ship, on the way back. Lovely walks and nice stay.

A nice, cosy, well equipped cottage with easy access to an excellent beach, with miles of sand for lovely walks!

We liked everything. We've stayed at this cottage several times and already have two more holidays booked!

A lovely homely cottage, it was a home from home. We've stayed here several times before and have two more holidays booked there this year.

Liked the convenient position of the cottage and the beautiful surrounding beach & countryside. A great cottage with all you need for a lovely relaxing holiday.

"The cottage is a 5min walk from the beach, and there was lots of places to visit in the area. Cottage always clean and well equipped."

Rated by Miss Buchanan reviewed on 3rd March 2015

Booked last minute through Sykes...... Won't be using them again at 70 quid booking charge. The cottage was clean but smelled of stale smoke and the outside area was not great in fact it was a little depressing. I am probably being a little mean but it just wasn't to my taste but then again most of comments in the guest book rated it. It was close to a great beach and a really nice pub but nothing much else going for it.....left a day early.

A great central location when touring Yorkshire, close to sea, country & Middlesbrough & Redcar .A very comfortable place to stay, clean and welcoming.

A very cosy and well equipped accommodation that was spotlessly clean. Ideally located for all local amenities and a few minutes walk takes you to the beach. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed our three week stay at Yeoman Terrace in May of this year. It's a sweet little cottage, just perfect for two, three or four people! Great bathroom and shower, lovely little kitchen and eating area, cosy lounge. Parking is available on a back street, quite conveniently close to the cottage. Beautifully quiet yet walking distance to several very good pubs. Highly recommended! My only caveat is that there is absolutely no internet access. This is not the fault of the proprietors, but the house and indeed most of Marske seems to fall in an internet black spot, so that even mobile phones can't access it. If this doesn't matter to you, than this cosy, clean little self-catering house is perfect for you!

Lovely homely cottage, well located for beach and amenities. We will be booking this cottage twice next year. We love it!

We liked being near a beautiful beach and the lovely warm and friendly people.

We stayed at yeoman cottage for 2 weeks in January and have to say we had a lovely time The cottage was warm, welcoming and spotless and a joy to stay in would recommend it to everyone One of the nice things about it was a full size freezer and washer which makes life a lot easier The only think I can find fault with is having to pay £70 booking fee when I booked it in one go so felt one booking fee should have surfisedand that has put us off booking with sykes again

The cottage is a home from home, so well equipped with every thing you could want, even had dog treats in the drawer.

Great cottage, very cosy and homely. Great location 5 minutes walk for the beach. Very close to local shops and great pubs and fish and chip shop. Will definitely stay again the next time we are visiting the North East.

This is a lovely, quirky little cottage set back in a quiet corner off the main road. However, it is very handy for the shops, beach and pub. Spotlessly clean and well equipped, all you want for a lovely relaxing holiday.

We holiday in Saltburn at least twice a year at this owners other property Victoria Cottage. This was a last minute extra holiday and we wondered how this cottage would compare. We were delighted with the comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated cottage which was equally cosy and welcoming. It was nice to be away from the main road and the neighbours were very friendly. It was also ideally located for shops, beach and the pub!

Rated by Mrs Mortimer reviewed on 22nd July 2013

The position is ideal. Beautifully clean cottage tucked away from main road. One of the best cottages we've stayed in.
