Reviews

If you want the perfect place to stay, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, in a lovely location, very well appointed and with a warm welcome from the owners, then Llety's Nest is going to be what you're looking for. It is a bit tucked away (but to us, that was part of the attraction), but you'll get excellent directions and once you get there, the view is worth it. It's a great base to see Mid- and North Wales from, with wonderful walks all around, whether low level strolls through woodland to waterfalls, or more challenging climbs around Cadair Idris. I'd have to really nit-pick to find fault at all with the accommodation (and I have tried hard to find something to nit-pick about), but it had just about everything you could want from a home-from-home for the week.....and more (except a rice strainer, which Glenys very kindly lent us anyway!). Very much hoping to visit there again before too long.

The cottage was just what we wanted, quiet, well-equipped and in a convenient location for access to the attractions around. The cottage garden looked stunning whilst we were there and there was birdsong all around!

It had everything we needed for a relaxed, restful week in a very beautiful part of Wales. We would be happy to return.

Great location and great cottage, could not ask for more. It was not too far away from town for shopping and food with friendly hosts and very well kept gardens. The furniture is of a high standard and made the stay home away from home.

This is a superb cottage to stay at if you are looking for peace and quiet and an excellent base from which to explore the surrounding area, where there are many wonderful walks to do and places to visit. The lounge has a stunning view from the window and there is outside seating both at the front and the rear of the property so you can make the most of the views and the sunshine. The cottage is very clean, comfortable and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. The owners are helpful and informative but never intrusive.

It was cosy, warm and comfortable with amazing views. Deep in the country yet very close to a major road that made getting around the area easy.

Rated by Mrs Pyle reviewed on 17th April 2016

It is a delightful spot with good views of open countryside; quiet and peaceful with no road noise or traffic. We have stayed in many cottages and this is one of the best. The owners are helpful and friendly.

This was our second visit to Llety Nest and although we spent far more time inside the cottage watching the rain fall and wind blow, it was a wonderful week of relaxation in one of our favourite holiday destinations. The owners can't do enough for you and the cosy cottage is more than well-equipped with a beautiful view of the Welsh countryside, can't recommend this cottage highly enough.

Llety Nest is in a lovely part of Wales with stunning views. It has all that you need for a get-away-from-it-all break. The owners are very nice and helpful and the cottage has some lovely walks right on the door step.

Llety Nest was a home away from home. The cottage was absolutely superb, very well equipped and the owner very nice and kind. The location is amazing. This was my first time in a self catering property and if they are all like this one, I shall certainly use this kind of accommodation more in future.

This is a lovely, quietly situated cottage in a beautiful, peaceful setting with great views from the lounge and bedroom windows. The owners are welcoming, friendly and helpful without being intrusive. I felt really comfortable here and it is a great place to explore South Snowdonia from.

We have been to Wales for more than 12years and never had a holiday let as good as this. Everything was good and the owners couldn't be more helpful. It was a real enjoyable holiday for us.

Rated by Mr Brennand reviewed on 20th September 2015

The Bungalow was everything we wanted, well equipped, very clean and modern. The owner, Glynis welcomed us with a plate of welsh cakes and butter and some milk for a cup of tea. The surrounding country side was beautiful with some great walks. The walk up the back of the farm was challenging but plenty of company on the way with lots of sheep. Unfortunately the weather was against us that week and we came home early as it was so wet and windy.

Excellent accommodation, the best equipped we have ever been in. Lovely surroundings and views, with great walks in the area.

Rated by Mrs Dester reviewed on 8th August 2015

We enjoyed our stay in Llety Nest, it was a lovely cottage with everything you need and had wonderful views. It was in a peaceful area and it was nice looking out of the window seeing birds on the bird feeder. We would like to come again soon.

Excellent accommodation and facilities. The cottage is in a beautiful scenic position in a great walking area.

From the moment we arrived and saw the stunning view to the sad departure a week later both my husband and I adored this cottage. Extremely well equipped with lovely owners always available to help, this cottage should satisfy even the most well traveled. The cottage is beautifully decorated and very relaxing which after a hard days' cycling or walking is just what was needed. We will definitely return if able to, thanks Mr and Mrs Roberts!

This property was a wonderful place to recover from exploring the Welsh countryside.

The cottage was very homely and extremely pleasant with a nice sunny lounge and a fabulous view over the mountains. The owners gave us a warm welcome. What more could we want! We hope to return again.

A lovely little bungalow in an idyllic rural setting. Very welcoming and friendly.

Rated by Miss Morris reviewed on 13th October 2014

Truly wonderful cottage adjoining the owner's home but with complete privacy and no unwanted intrusions. The owners were extremely welcoming and friendly. The views from the lounge were wonderful and if you walked up the track from the cottage you are awarded even more stunning vistas across mountains. A great base for exploring North Wales with fast easy road access to Snowdonia. Everything about the cottage was perfect although mobile reception is limited to outside front of the cottage. Saying that, the owners were more than willing to take messages on their home phone in an emergency. Our car broke down on the Thursday evening and they were wonderful in providing assistance even to the point of driving us with all our belongings down to the village hall and waiting with us for the breakdown service to arrive and tow us all the way back to Kent. Would thoroughly recommend this property and will be returning again.

We liked to hike, so Wales was perfect. the welcome was very friendly, Llety Nest was very good

Rated by Mrs Weber reviewed on 9th August 2014

The property is as described. It is very peaceful - no extraneous noise intrusion. Fittings and fixtures are of a very good standard and the owners live next door and were helpful without being intrusive. The garden was a great place to be in and the walks across the owners extensive land were excellent. Very good value and a great place for a superb holiday. Owners clearly laid on wall to wall sunshine - quite a trick!

Rated by Mr Webster reviewed on 11th July 2014

This must have been the best equipped, i is the most cosy & welcoming cottage we have ever stayed in. The views are wonderful, the place is very peaceful & the sheep (apart from winging Winnie!) are very quiet. The owners are next door if you have problems & are always ready to help. Thanks Glenis & Alan for a lovely holiday, we really enjoyed your cottage.

Rated by Tabbysmum reviewed on 26th June 2014

The property is adjoining the owners house but our privacy was foremost in the owners mind. The cottage is up a quiet lane but still only a few miles out of Dolgellau with supermarket, shops etc. The view of the hills from the bedroom & lounge windows were lovely and it very restful of an evening sitting in the front garden with a glass of wine.

Rated by Mr Crossen reviewed on 24th June 2014

The freedom to explore North Wales in a rural setting. Very welcoming hosts set on a working farm with stunning views and easy access to town. Would certainly recommend to any couple. We chose this property on its location, having WiFi available and parking for two cars.

The beautiful location, peace and quiet, neat and tidy property, friendliness of owners.

Rated by Mrs Sawyer reviewed on 19th April 2014

We had a lovely time on our wedding anniversary staying at Llety Nest. Wonderful views. Everything was lovely except the double bed was very uncomfortable. It's a shame that the owner doesn't get a better bed. Because this really lets the place down.

Rated by A FlipKey verified reviewer reviewed on 12th January 2014

Llety Nest was spotless, very comfortable and contained everything you could possibly need. The noisiest thing in the area were the sheep. Excellent centre for mid and north Wales, with excellent hill walking literally right on your door step by turning right to walk along the private lane you are on top of the hill in minutes. You can then return to a warm cosy cottage and a hot power shower, whilst your clothes are in the washing machine.

We really enjoyed the stay. It a pity that our holiday was only for a few days, as we could have stayed there longer. Everything was wonderful about the place.

Rated by Mrs Harker reviewed on 15th October 2013

A lovely secluded cottage for a peaceful holiday. A car is needed, but the position is central to a variety of places in Mid and North Wales, from beaches to mountains to caverns.

Rated by Mr Pinches reviewed on 23rd August 2013

Cottage done to a high standard, very comfortable and modern fixtures with beautiful views. Well recommended.
